"Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan"
A ship strikes a berg & sinks in 1898-Ver

Hello There,
My name is Gerry MacPherson and I am a Tour Guide, Tour Director, Tour Operator and a Titanic Enthusiast. My home is in Halifax, Nova Scotia which happens to be the final resting place of a 150 victims of the Titanic disaster and since the early 1990’s I have had been intrigued with the sinking and the aftermath. Due to this interest, in 1996 I was given the honour and privilege to gi

ve a Halifax tour to two of the last surviving passengers of the 1912 tragedy; Edith Haisman (Brown) and Michel Navratil as well as some of the foremost authorities of the sinking. That tour turned my interest into a fascination that carries on today. I have since given 100’s of talks on the subject as well as traveled to Ireland to see where the story began. In this page I will keep you up to date with the projects and events leading into the anniversary as well as other great stories and points of interest I find about Ireland. I look forward to all your feedback about this Ireland as well as any other information for 2012.

Great place to learn and relax. It was so cool to see the things people saw over 100 years ago. It felt very inspirational as well. My wife stated, "I'm at a loss for words how amazing it was."
