We are lucky enough to have some fabulous places to eat nearby. We recently had a fantastic meal with friends at The Pembrokeshire Beach Food Company at The Old Point House - with fresh mussels, seafood chowder and the famous Cafe Mor burgers on the menu the food did not disappoint. And to wash it down, a Mor Gin's amazing seaweed and spice gin. Thankfully it's only a short walk back to the cottage, so no drawing straws to decide who's driving!

Back home at my desk and already missing this view. What a perfect weekend it was, with long coastal walks in the sunshine, dips in the sea (brrr!), great food at and of course super company. I can’t wait to have another refreshing girls’ weekend at Bluebell soon!

It's been a busy Summer season with guests but I'm looking forward to getting back to Bluebell Cottage myself this weekend. With quiet beaches, great food at our local pubs and a cosy cottage, Autumn is a wonderful time to visit to blow away the cobwebs and enjoy spending time with friends.

Bluebell Cottage holidays

We fell in love with the quiet village of Angle on our first visit. The stunning beach is a short walk from Bluebell Cottage and has some wonderful hidden areas to explore, as well as having the all important coffee and ice-cream provisions to hand at the fabulous Wavecrest Cafe. The Pembrokeshire Coast path takes in amazing scenery and is popular with dog walkers, and the village has two fantastic pubs - The Hibernia Inn and The Point House Inn.

There are a number of other beautiful beaches to choose from nearby, including Barafundle, Broadhaven South, Freshwater East and Freshwater West (famous for its surf). A visit to Broad Haven South beach taking in the walk round the lily ponds at Bosherton should not be missed, likewise the headland walk to Barafundle Bay - one of our favourite spots.

The coastal town of Tenby is a 25 minute drive from the cottage and there are numerous local attractions, including Bluestone, Oakwood, Folly Farm, Manor Wildlife Park, Carew Castle, Pembroke Castle and Manorbier Castle.

Bluebell Cottage offers families or small groups of friends the opportunity to relax and enjoy a peaceful holiday in stunning Pembrokeshire. The cottage is dog-friendly and is well-equipped for children.
