God's Little Sprouts they had a band, Praisin' the Lord!! We learned that although these percussion instruments are both finger cymbals, we play them differently.

Lil' Sprout Beckett swimming around the "pond" with the frogs and looking for a lily pad when he hears the music stop.

God makes the most AMAZING creatures! We learned that wood frogs in Alaska can freeze solid for up to 7 months and then when the ice melts, the frogs thaw and they can hop away like nothing ever happened!!

The unique instrument that visited our class today is called a frog rasp or wooden frog guiro. Mr. Frog is a wood percussion instrument that comes in different sizes. We made awesome frog-like sounds by stroking Mr. Frog's back with the large end of the playing stick!

Tomorrow during our bouncy song we will be pretending to ride a very special animal. (Hint..Jesus rode this animal into Jerusalem.) Miss Laura happens to have one of these unique creatures on her farm. Do you know what it is?

Introduced this fun back tracing game in class today. One of my children's favorites to this day and they are 10, 8 and 4 years old. Have fun with this one at home!!

In the deep of winter on the dark early nights, these ice luminaries are a treat to create and beautiful to look at outside, while being cozy inside. They are also a wonderful reminder of Jesus being Our Light, Our Hope, and Our Salvation in the darkness.

Calling all Sprouts!

Sing n' Sprout with Miss Laura will begin again on February 5th at 10:00am at the Emmanuel Church in Abilene, KS. The class will meet every Thursday at 10am for 8 weeks. Please message me if you would like to join the class. Blessings to you all in 2015!
