At long last, the botanical building is open again. It looks beautiful inside and out, but they don't have all the plants in place yet so it was a little disappointing. That said, I'm looking forward to a return trip to check on the progress.

Kimberly Crest House and Gardens - Nestled within a gorgeous park and grounds, this 125 year old home is a one-of-a-kind example of life during the Gilded Age in Southern California. The grounds feature waterfalls, ponds, fountains and gardens.
The entrance though, is stunning in its own right. Just walking up the double staircase entrance makes you feel like royalty. Go. See. Fall in love.

Waiting in line to enter the 25th-anniversary celebration of Dia de los Mu***os at the famous Hollywood Forever cemetery was, in itself, a surreal experience. Many people in line were in costume and some were very clever. The sign over the entrance was fashioned from the typical marigolds prevalent....

It's that time of year again! This beautiful (and clever) Harvest/Halloween display is to be found at Waterwise Botanicals in Bonsall off Highway 395. It was a pleasure to shoot there and it was early enough so there were few, if any, small humans! Wait...did I just say that out loud?!!! 🫢😬
