So where is Nevis anyway? 💙 Saint Kitts and Nevis is a dual-island nation situated between the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. It’s known for cloud-shrouded mountains and beautiful beaches. Many of its former sugar plantations are now inns or atmospheric ruins. The larger of the 2 islands, Saint Kitts, is dominated by the dormant Mount Liamuiga volcano, home to a crater lake, green vervet monkeys and rainforest crisscrossed with hiking trails. Nevis has Mount Nevis, which is a bucket list hike for some. 🪣 🥾 Green vervet monkeys, donkeys and goats roam freely around the island. 🏝 You will find Pelican Cottage at Cotton Ground.

Flying to St Kitts Isn’t as hard as you might think. You can get here on daily flights through Miami on American Airlines. Several times a week on JetBlue from New York Kennedy.  Twice a week on Air Canada from Toronto and British Airways from London And Saturday only flights on Delta from Atlanta or United from Newark.

The adventure comes getting to Nevis from next door on St Kitts. You can take a puddle jumper airplane for a less than 10 minute flight… You can take a taxi across the south western peninsula of Saint Kitts to Reggae Beach and take a 10 minute water taxi or some people even swim on occasion…
