If you are interested in engineering or visiting Rochefort, then you may like to take a trip across the river on the Le Pont Transborder. The gondola was built to provide a means of crossing from one bank to another without disrupting shipping traffic. In the past it was used for cars, carts and horses, however today it is used by cyclists and foot passengers. It is the last bridge of this type in France.

Verteuil sur Charente, a beautiful village on the Charente river. A splendid chateau, scenic river walk and wonderful views from the church. There are a couple of restaurants in great locations, so we suggest you book and check opening hours. Enjoy!

An interesting morning or afternoon outing. If it's wet or too hot, this is great way to learn about some local history.
This two hour tour explains how silver was dug out on the mines from the 7th to 10th century. It dates back from kings Dagobert and Charlemagne. This has something for everyone!

Our lounge feels complete with the updated bookshelf by Having bought three amazing pieces from Emma, we knew she was the one to upcycle our cabinet. We were delighted that she agreed to the project and so happy with the outcome. Just look at the detail in the photos. We couldn't believe our luck when we saw a rug to compliment the colours!
