Golf + Disney 😍 if you have some golf lovers in your family, this is a fun thing to add to your vacation at Disney World. Disney has three beautiful 18 hole golf courses and one 9 hole course. Here’s the best way to experience them!

Staying at Saratoga Springs puts you right in the middle of the action with two course that are intwined around the resort. The third golf course is located by the Grand Floridian. No matter where you stay, the bell services will arrange transportation for you to get to your tee time.

Bring your own clubs! Renting clubs and buying balls and tees while you are there really adds up. If you want to save some money, bring your own gear.

You can book your tee time online up to 3 months in advance though you can easily pick up tee times as you get closer.

I really enjoyed golfing the Magnolia Golf Course. It was a fun way to experience Disney in a whole new way!

Disney won’t get up early to help you with a virtual queue. Royal Caribbean won’t make sure you ordered water for your cruise cabin. Universal won’t tell you where all the secret spell locations are. Marriott won’t answer your text about the best place for dinner or where to get a stroller rental. But I will!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disneyland opens on November 15th! And here is how you’ll be able to ride.

Option 1 - VIRTUAL QUEUE
There will be a Virtual Queue option with two drops. The first is at 7 am. For this one, you will need a park reservation for Disneyland park but you can do the virtual queue from anywhere. The second drop is at 12 pm. For this one, you either need a Disneyland reservation or a park hopper ticket. You will need to be scanned into the park for this drop.

Option 2 - Lightning Lane Multi Pass
You will be able to select Tiana’s Bayou Adventure as a Lightning Lane option with your multi pass. Multi passes can be purchased as soon as you scan into the park. You can make your first selection right after.

The thing I love about theme parks is they are always looking to build something new, something exciting, that blows your mind. I love the creativity of it all. And I’m so excited that on MAY 22 2025 we will get to explore a whole new park - EPIC UNIVERSE!

Hoping I can visit in May and experience it all! Whose excited?!

Chef Mickey HONEST REVIEW! I’ve heard lots of opinions about Chef Mickey’s. Some love it and some hate it. Here is my honest review!

🥞Food 5/10 - it was pretty basic with a few stand outs but mostly just your basic breakfast and nothing too special. They did have Strawberry Lemonade pancakes while we were there which were fun to try and very kid friendly. But it’s definitely not food I would come back for. If you aren’t adventurous eaters, this would probably be right up your alley. But if you like higher end food, this is not really your place.

🐭Characters 7/10 - I’ve seen some pretty amazing videos of character interactions at Chef Mickeys so I think it can definitely vary. Compared to other character interactions we’ve had, this was average. We did get to see some cute interactions between the characters and Goofy was a favorite.

💵 Price - She was pricey! For two adults and two kids, we paid $187.44 before tip.

Overall - the ambiance of Contemporary really adds to the overall appeal for this restaurant (and the location). It’s not a bad option for a character breakfast if you are in a neighboring resort because of ease. They are very quick so if you are trying to do a breakfast before MK, they would be really efficient. But if you are wanting to be more relaxed, there are better options like Ohana’s for breakfast. One up side is this is one of the only Character dinner spots where you can meet Mickey and the gang.

Missing Disneyland today! We typically take a trip around this time to see all the Halloween stuff but since we are moving (further away 😢) - I didn’t renew our passes. All our Disneyland memories have really been special to me and I’m so glad that I took the opportunity living close to make trips. They were never perfect but they always left me feeling like life couldn’t be better. I will always remember our Disneyland stroller days!

Don’t worry this doesn’t mean I’m never going back to Disneyland or won’t share Disneyland anymore. I will still take periodic trips for my work with and hopefully some amazing (even though less) frequent trips with the family.

You can now drink your Pumpkins drink by a Mickey Wreath because Starbucks fall drink line up launched yesterday! It’s the perfect way to spend a fall day at the Magic Kingdom.

It might not be fall in your neck of the woods but the fall season is in full swing at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World. Magic Kingdom is fully decorated in all its fall decor (I see you Mickey wreaths) and we’ve already had 3 Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween parties.

In a few days, Disneyland will also have their Halloween decor up! I don’t know about you but I’m ready for the fall vibes 🍁🎃👻

Some of you may know this (and a lot of you don’t!) but my day job involves professional photography and a lot of photo editing. I get asked a lot about how to edit your every day photos (like the ones you might take on vacation) and I always suggest the Lightroom app. This is how I edit all my photos. I even once created presets you could download (thought they need to be updated!)

I noticed this morning that Lightroom added an Ai tool for removing objects that is really good. I edited this photo of me behind the castle in like 5 minutes. Swipe to see the before of this image behind the castle!

Steal my strategy for riding TRON at night!

TRON Lightcycle Run is the newest ride at Magic Kingdom (and it’s easily becoming one of my favorites). In my opinion, it is best at night because the canopy lights up and it really just adds to the illusion that you are in the grid. Currently TRON is only available via Virtual Queue or Individual Lightning Lane purchase.

So here is my strategy for riding it at night (without paying for a Lightning Lane) ⬇️

Skip the Virtual Queue in the morning. Not only is it inconvenient to try and book everything at 7:00 am but joining the Virtual Queue in the morning guarantees that you will ride this during the daytime. Instead, make sure you are scanned into Magic Kingdom park for the 1 pm Virtual Queue drop. These return times are generally later in the day where you are more likely to get to ride at night when the canopy is lit up.

I was on an airplane all of May the 4th so this is a late post BUT I had to share a post to celebrate. Star Wars isn’t a story that I have been a fan of for super long but it’s been the source of some of my most fun and treasured memories in the parks. From feeling like a kid again on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser to camping out by the Millennium Falcon so my son can hug Chewie. I’m grateful for these stories and these characters and the community that embraces even new lovers like me. I really hope that Disney continues to come up with creative ways to bring these stories and experiences to more people! May the 4th be with you!!

Just hanging with Buzz! 🚀 We crushed today at Hollywood Studios and we even got to sleep in. We arrived to the park around 9:30 am and took advantage of meeting characters and doing some shows that don’t need Genie+. While we did that I stacked Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Toy Story Mania, Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers for our afternoon. Plus we did a walk on for Toy Story Mania and Smugglers run where we didn’t wait longer than 20 minutes.

I also got us a Fantasmic Dining package (which is only one credit per person with the dining plan) so we will get to see Fantasmic with a great seat and minimal wait. I call that a great day!

I’m head to the east coast but seeing all the fun things happening at Pixar Fest in Disneyland is giving me a bit of FOMO! If you are headed to Disneyland between April 26th and August 4th, here is what you can enjoy.

Already this looks like a colorful and great festival filled with fun details like 50 Pizza Planet trucks hidden around Disneyland Resort! Hopefully, I can get there before it ends.

Though it didn’t end on a great note, 2024 was still a great year filled with some amazing experiences all over the world. Thanks for letting me take you with me! (And letting me plan some for you too)

Every evening at dusk in both the Magic Kingdom and Disneyland they do a flag ceremony that is really very special. Before they take the flag down, they honor service men and women from each division of our armed forces - Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Space Force - by having the Dapper Dans sing a portion of each anthem. They invite anyone who served to come and stand and be recognized around the flag pole. Then they honor the American flag by removing it until dawn the next day while singing our national anthem. This is such a cool little thing that they do and it always makes me emotional. If you have a member of your family who has served, take the time during your Disney trip to honor them!

Chatting Blue Sky projects with my 5 year old surely won’t backfire on me 😅 anyway….supposedly there is a new avengers ride coming!
