I was supposed to fly a cross-Atlantic flight with 2 different airlines, booked by FlightHub.
One flight got cancelled, which made me miss my other flight.
I’ve paid over $1900 (CAD) for the trip.
Flight Hub did absolutely nothing for me.
They didn’t rebook me an alternative flight, and kept saying they are “trying to reach the airline” to get a refund (I have spoken myself with the airline numerous times and they assured me that they are reachable to any travel agency).
It took 6 days of very aggravating communication with them (when sometimes I’ve been told “they are working to get a hold of the airline”, or sometimes been told that I can’t get a refund but I can get another flight if I just add $450), when they finally told me that the airline did not approve a refund, but I can apply for a voucher or that they would do it for me. When trying to apply myself (as I wanted noting to do with them anymore) I was given the option of getting a refund, but the airline claimed that only the agency can do it for me.
I addressed FlightHub again and they kept saying that there is no refund.
They also didn’t provide a voucher. Apparently, now, I wasn’t even eligible for that.
I have contacted my bank and applied to get this transaction canceled, providing all the evidence I had, and Im happy to say I got my money back!
I have submitted a complaint with the Best Businesses Bureau, and I encourage every person who had similar experience with this fraudulent business to do the same.
