Our Story
Welcome to our comfy 1628 sq foot cottage on 2.5 acres with 205 feet of South exposure water frontage on crystal clear Mainhood Lake. Building our dream nest was a labour of love with over four years of building and landscaping as weekend warriors...but it was worth it!
We designed our floor plan to flow from our open concept living/dining/kitchen area. In this room you are immediately drawn into its’ magic. Featuring large lake view windows, BC knotty cedar cathedral ceilings, comfortable furnishings and natural art accents, what’s not to love? Ceramic tile floors, well insulated walls and ceilings, large ceiling fans and plenty of windows, our cottage stays cool even on the warmest of summer days.
Our tree top Muskoka room overlooks the lake and includes a wonderful games table featuring Canada’s favorite past time “Crokinole”. There’s even separation from the great room if one room wants peace or music over the sound of laughter from the other. There is also a comfy futon in this room allowing a fourth bedroom at night if desired.
Meals are prepared in the spacious kitchen and covered outdoor deck equipped with a propane BBQ and a delicious alternative, the pellet smoker grill. Breakfast, lunch or dinner can be enjoyed in a variety of places depending on the weather or your mood; breakfast in the Muskoka room, lunch out on the lakeside deck or dinner in the dining room under the refurbished wagon wheel chandelier. Perhaps siesta time in the NEW lakeside gazebo is what your body craves and needs. “Hey Google, play some easy cottage music”.
