Great to see a familiar face back on the Isle of Man # James 👍🥾😀

Overcast conditions for today’s walk up through Ohio Plantation. But not to worry as it managed to stay dry and the group provided the sunshine on the day.🤩.
Highlights of the day included Graham’s birthday treats🍾🥂🍰 and watching the group climb up Cronk Sumark and return in one piece.🫣e

What a wonderful day at Ballaugh Curraghs, finally we got to see the Wallabies out in the wild. As soon as we walked in you could see them in their natural habitat. Cracking morning. 🦘😀😂

Lovely morning for a stroll around Baldwin with the group. Weather was fine with a cool breeze but beautiful all the same. Visited St Luke’s church and the stone circle at Killabane. It was also great to show Anna who was visiting from the USA 🇺🇸 parts of the Island that she’s not visited before.
Off for a short break now but back next week. 🥾👍

Definitely the lull before before the storm. Today we were blessed with some stunning conditions for our summit trail to The Beary.
The turn out was exceptional and the company was the best. 😀🥾.
Brian managed to find a fantastic seating area for lunch courtesy of a farm trailer.
Walking Mann will now be taking a week off but will be back for 2nd Nov and another summit walk.

Today I grabbed my passport and headed north for a short but steep trail. We Walked up to the Tholtan of Park Mooar then followed the footpaths through Glen Elfin and back down to Ramsey for some brunch. 🍰🤤☕️.
The path down to the Hairpin provided some great autumnal pictures. But take care as some sections were slippery.
We also took a slight detour to the prehistoric cemetery of Killeaba. (Steve’s highlight 🫣🤣)

Fabulous morning spent with the short trail group around Onchan
Embarrassing to say, it was my first time down through Summerhill Glen 🙈
What a wonderful Glen with lots of hidden treasures and I’ll definitely be going back when the lights are on. Magical 🧚‍♀️

Today I had the pleasure of providing a bespoke walk for this lovely group of ladies.
I took them along the new section of footpath from Silverdale to Grenaby and back through Upper Billown.
Thankfully the rain had stopped and gave way to some beautiful clear skies.
Walking Mann can provide bespoke walks to suit every groups need’s including transportation.
Thanks again ladies for a cracking afternoon.🥂🍾🙌

Spent this morning discovering this beautiful bay on the west coast.
This bay definitely needs to be done on a low tide for you to enjoy if full potential. Plenty of hidden coves and great rock formations.
Will definitely be back. 😀

Only managed to complete 2 of the 3 summits today, as the mist rolled in before we could climb Slieau Lhean.
But fear not “I’ll be back 💪”.
Typically, as we made our way down to the Greenway for lunch the sun made an appearance. 🤣🤣
There was a turn out and fabulous company (as always 🥰).
With the slightly early finish we still had time for a quick visit to the Crumble Bar in Laxey. 🤤☕️🍰

After last weeks epic 16 mile stomp this felt like a breeze. Today’s summit walk took us up Ballacobb to Slieau Curn. Conditions were ideal and thanks to Roger and Lucy for the lunchtime refreshments. 🍰🍾🥂
Happy Birthday Lucy.
Fabulous morning spent with the best companions. 😎🥾

Superb day out yesterday waking the Herring Way.
16 miles of tough walking from Castletown to Peel.
The weather played its part as it was a cool start but welcomed into Peel with glorious sunshine 🌞. The final coastal section from Glen Maye to Peel was my personal favorite and to celebrate our achievements we finished off with liquid freshwater and a Pizza at the Black Dog Oven. 🍕🤤

Just a few pictures from this weekends walks.
Saturday saw a summit walk up to Slieau Dhoo in dry windy conditions but we had some cracking views.
Sunday’s short trail brought us out to Lonan parish where we had a lovely 5 mile stroll around Laxey.
Fantastic company on both days. 🥰🥾👍

Good luck to all the walkers taking part in tomorrow Coast 2 Coast walk. Especially all the walkers from the Walking Mann group. 👏👏👏🥾🥾🥾

Well that was a hot one.🥵
Very tough route today over to Slieau Lhoist from Creg na Baa and then returned via Abbeylands. Very humid with very little wind and the ground conditions were great other than the last section of the greenway just below the Creg.
Fantastic turnout and great company on such a lovely day. 😎☀️🥾
