Back in the Saddle for Give Kids the World and Shelter in a Storm!
A couple of years ago, John Kelley The Regional Director of the Southeast for HPS and a team of 4 bike riders hatched a plan to ride and ride and ride for Give Kids the World just before conference in Orlando that year. Thanks to the generosity of our friends, family and co workers at IHG, over $35,000 was raised for GKTW in Orlando.
This year we are back and we started our journey with a bike ride in Mexico as you can see from our happy faces above in the top photo right after we finished riding from Rosarito Mexico to Ensenada, Mexico! Just a warm up.
Here the plan this year!
The Silver Comet Trail 70 miles a day for 3 straight days. And.. since some of you are in Atlanta and bike riders, we would love to have some company!
We have conveniently timed our ride with the Race Around the World for Shelter in the Storm!
Reach out to Kathy Bannasch to let us know if you would like to ride with us:

Of course, our goal is to raise some money for our favorite charities.
First, we have Give Kids the World in Orlando an amazing place that takes care of kids and their families to grant the wishes of terminally ill kids. You can tear up if you have been there, but the smiles always wipe away the tears. It is simply an amazing place and we hope to raise a bunch of money for them. Please don't think that you have to donate more than $5.00 but if you want you can give more.

We also have the Shelter in a Storm for those of you at IHG. For every kilometer our team rides IHG will give $1.00 to Shelter in a Storm. You can join us for the ride in your hometown, no need to come to Atlanta, but we would love to ride with you if you are in Atlanta!. Remember.. it's October 18-20 on the bike. So, it's a weekend, come out and ride, rain or shine!
Join us on our bike riding team.. either in Atlanta or in your own hometown around the Globe!

In closing, I hope that you do take a moment to donate or ride with us in September and if you ever get the chance to visit GKTW, donate a day to help out and you'll never be the same. The money we raised the last time went to help build 4 new Villas... a small part, and it only takes $5 or $10 at a time.
