to our first trip to Hawaii July 2021

Traveling with a child with special needs does require preparation and planning. As our son has sensory issues and is always on the move, we used front-loaded him with social stories and visuals to help him anticipate what might happen. We also talked about what to do when he got overstimulated or needed a break.

Southwest Airlines crew was very helpful and accommodating. Ari introduced himself to the pilots before boarding and shared his love of planes & trains. The pilots answered his questions cheerfully & the flight attendants were very welcoming
