Under overcast skies we began our adventure that was 'coasteering with sea n' shore'. We were greeted by the fabulous Ali and her compadres Graham and Drew. Off we went into the blue admiring the Salcombe coastline. Then the adventure began!! The water was Devonshire cold, however, after some high adrenaline jumps plunging into the frothing white depths under the very capable instruction of Drew and Graham,we relaxed into the fun, fun, fun that is coast steering. Meanwhile the girls were on the rib with Ali indulging in chocolate and laughing at the boys faces and antics on the rocks. As the day progressed we were thankfully blessed with clear blue skies with the occasional whispy cloud. We experienced the rugged coastline first hand and ended our trip with a trip to our own secluded beach.
We can whole heartedly recommend this trip. Ali's smile is bright enough to brighten the cloudiest of days. Thank you Ali & crew for making the birthday treat truly memorable.

We have still got 4 spaces for Rib Coasteering tomorrow afternoon. 1.30pm start in Salcombe, we provide the Winter wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets, instructors and ribs. £65 per person, half day activity including adrenalin rib rides, rock climbing, exploring caves, washing through gullies and low, medium and high jumps if you choose. We have been bought together by the great efforts of Areas Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sharing a common goal of a passion to let everyone enjoy this most precious coastline and features.

With their beguiling blendof roots rock, folk and Americana, the British duo have been ever-present on the scene, performing,writing, recording and winning international acclaim for their liaison with Oscar-nominated American actress Elizabeth McGovern as Sadie and the Hotheads.
Their third album, Sacred River, flows with the gentle rhythm of their early work. Steve sings
lead and plays rhythm guitar as usual, while Simon – also a leading session man who’s played in TV concerts with Mavis Staples and Paul Jones, and at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and 02 Arena with everyone from Joss Stone to X Factor stars – sticks mostly to electric lead.

John Otway is an English singer-songwriter who has built a sizeable cult audience through extensive touring, a surreal sense of humour and a self-deprecating underdog persona. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, he took his band to the Caribbean island of Montserrat to become the first international recording artist to record there since the Rolling Stones in 1989. The result was Montserrat - the first album of entirely new and original Otway material in over ten years.
March 11th Nordic Fiddlers Bloc The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc comprise Olav Luksengård Mjelva (Norway), Anders Hall (Sweden) and Kevin Henderson (Shetland).Individually they are regarded as three of the finest young fiddle players currently working in the international folk music scene, while collectively they are now
Norway, Sweden and Shetland have three of the richest fiddle traditions in the world, with documented historical links going back hundreds of years. The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc seek to bring those historical links and traditions alive and present them in a new, exciting, dynamic and meaningful fashion, while nevertheless remaining faithful to the roots of each tradition.
While blending the individual styles together they never-the-less allow each distinctive flavour to unfold into a combined sound that’s unique, intense and invigorating, while their live show is peppered through with significant amounts of onstage good humour and banter into the bargain.
Their debut album attracted huge critical acclaim, with their 2016 release, Deliverance, following in the same way.A wonderful band – well and truly on the rise!
