Our Holy India Pilgrimage Journey, also known as The S*x, Death, Meditation Tour. Perhaps the greatest India pilgrimage odyssey ever conceived.
Right thru the Heart of India, our two week journey takes us cross country thru 4 different state lines. We all meet up in Siliguri, West Bengal, the hub city right close to the borders of Nepal, Sikkim and Bhutan. Here we can get our supplies, helmets, jackets, etc and get familiar with our Royal Enfields.
We start our journey thru the two poorest states in India, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, but rich in its spirit on a road less traveled. Witness the villages where the children run barefoot and the community there has stayed more or less the same as they lived hundreds of years ago. More so than local police or politicians, they are governed by the laws of the Universe, God, and humanity.
On our Enfields, we are not only looking at the scenery but riding only 6 inches (15cm) off the pavement, we are part of the scenery. Hundreds of peoples along the road will come out to look and stare, with mutual curiosity, these exotic peoples you rarely see in person. It's India in your face, man.
In Bihar, we stop two nights in Bodh Gaya, where we honor Guatam the Buddha, The Enlightened One. Sit underneath his Bodhi Tree, side by side with the monks, priest and swami's in their orange and maroon robes, and Meditate.
We continue the journey to Uttar Pradesh, to the Holiest City in all of Hindu India, the oldest city in the world; Varanasi (Benares, Kashi). Three nights stay to experience the most vibrant and intense city you will ever encounter; the colors, the music, the bulls, the dead bodies, the burning ghats, the Holy Ganga river. Understand the reality of Death and Live your most aspirational and fulfilling life.
Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are dry states, meaning the public consumption and sale of alcohol is legally prohibited. However, Madhya Pradesh, relatively much more prosperous, lush and green, has no such constraints. Indeed, a society emerged almost a thousand years ago, whereby S*x is not a sin, but the root chakra energy used to circulate up the kundalini, in meditation and in honor of the Divine. Three nights we need in Khajuraho, to witness the hundreds of exotic ta**ra temples all guided by our very own, Swami Ganga.
We finish our Holy India Pilgrimage, in Love, at the Taj Mahal, Agra.
