🌟A YEAR OF GROWTH AND SUSTAINABILITY 🌟

We launched 11 NEW volunteer projects, opened a marine conservation program in Alonissos Island, and welcomed 1,329 volunteers in 10 destinations. 🌍

Over 6,000kg of ocean litter was removed from the water in 3 locations - Lisbon, Barcelona and Omis; 📌🇵🇹 🇪🇸 🇭🇷

In 2024, Impact Beach House hosted 1,600 guests, earning the Green Key certification, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability. 🏅

We played a key role in the installation of the first Eco Container for Marine waste in Omiš as part of the "From River to the Sea - Let's Be Plastic Free" initiative! ♻️✅

🌟 10 Years of Impact: Growing Together 🌍✨

SAD GOODBYES AND NEW PROJECTS

In 2023, we said goodbye to Impact House Lisbon, a place filled with unforgettable moments.

Impact House Athens and Impact House Split opened their doors to welcome volunteers, marking the beginning of a new chapter for us in late 2023. It was a tough decision, but it allowed us to focus on new and innovative projects.

We joined the Program Empresas Turismo 360° certification and integrated G.R.E.E.N., a EU funded project supporting NEETs with circular economy topics, creating opportunities for innovation and impact.

🌟 10 Years of Impact: Growing Together 🌍✨

In 2022, we opened Impact Beach House in Estoril, a space dedicated to Climate Action and Ocean Conservation. It’s been amazing to host more volunteers and connect with incredible non-profits in Lisbon! 🏖️💚

We also expanded to Athens, bringing five impactful volunteer programs to address both social and environmental challenges, all while exploring the city’s rich culture. 🇬🇷🌿

Our journey also led to the launch of the MICA Project, empowering women leaders in the Circular Economy through Erasmus+. 🙌✨

🌟 10 Years of Impact: A Year of Renewal 🌍✨

2021 brought a fresh start after challenging times. With volunteers returning, we rekindled our mission to create meaningful connections and support communities around the world.

This year also marked an exciting milestone—our expansion to Rome! A new destination meant new opportunities to address local needs and make an impact. 🇮🇹💚

What began with uncertainty turned into a testament to resilience and growth. Together, we made 2021 a year to remember. 🙌

👩‍❤️‍👨 Rob and Liz, a couple from Wales, have chosen to travel sustainably—no planes, just trains, boats, and coaches. 🇬🇷 Their journey led them to Athens, where they volunteered in both the homeless and refugee support programs. With no expectations, just a willingness to help, they embraced the challenges and adapted to the circumstances, overcoming language and cultural barriers along the way.

Working with unaccompanied minors in the refugee program had a lasting impact, broadening their understanding of the struggles refugees face. During their stay, Rob, an artist, poet, and writer, penned several poems reflecting on their experience.

🏛️ Athens, the capital of Greece, has become a safe haven for many individuals fleeing conflict from neighboring countries. Over recent years, the city has experienced a significant influx of refugees, many of whom have been separated from their families during their journey.

At ImpacTrip, we're committed to helping these individuals by supporting local organizations that provide essential services and safe spaces. Our Migrants and Refugees Support Program aims to assist refugees as they navigate the challenges of reuniting with their families and completing their asylum procedures.

Through this program, we’re working together to provide hope, dignity, and a sense of community for those who need it most. 🌎🤝

🌟 10 Years of Impact: Rising to the Challenge 🌍

2020 tested us in ways we never imagined. The pandemic disrupted everything, but it also drove us to adapt and find new ways to make a difference.

Impacteam went virtual, creating online team-building events, while ImpacTrip launched programs like virtual volunteering and forest conservation activities to ensure safe, impactful experiences. 🌳

The relocation of Impact House to Restelo marked a turning point. It became more than a hostel—it grew into a vibrant hub for community, sustainability, and meaningful change. 🏡💚

2020 reminded us of the strength in resilience and our commitment to creating a better world. 🙌

Meet Hanne, who spent 4 incredible weeks with us in the Food Rescue program in Porto, Portugal! 🏙️🧡

Here’s what she has to say about her journey: “I had a big dream working abroad and to do something good. I was lucky, when I find food resque program from Porto and the opportunity to work as a volunteer. Four weeks seems like too short a time. The people there were so friendly and I really miss them. I felt I was doing important work and it’s so great to see at people want to help and to do together while working. There was a lot of laughter, talk and nice time together. And most important the food goes to those who need it.
Porto is very interesting as a place, lots of details, history and diverse culture. I warmly recommend it to everyone to go new experience. I am sure at I remember this all the rest of my life and I hope I have a chance come back.

ImpacTrip is a social business internationally certified as B-Corp that promotes Responsible Travel Experiences in Portugal, Spain and Croatia. Founded in 2015 by two dedicated social entrepreneurs that want to change the way people travel, ImpacTrip aims at combining the best of travel with a positive social and environmental impact. We really want travelers to have the most unique and meaningful travel experiences. We offer short-term Travel Experiences across three different countries that allow you and other responsible travelers to connect with the locals, experience the culture and contribute in a positive way to the local communities. We also offer long-term volunteer programs in which you can dedicate 1 to 12 weeks volunteering for local non-profits for a specific cause while meeting people from all over the world. Since 2015 we've received people from over 60+ different nationalities that contributed with over 40.000 hours of volunteer work to support over 350 non-profits.
