We kicked off our day with a delicious breakfast at Moir Hut Camp, which gave us the energy boost needed for our hike to the 3rd Cave Camp. Everyone is feeling great, and our spirits are soaring—keeping that positive vibe is super important for the adventure ahead!

The trail from Moir Hut to the 3rd Cave Camp takes us through some absolutely gorgeous and rugged landscapes. The open moorland and stunning volcanic views provide such a unique backdrop. This part of the climb is quieter and a bit more remote, which adds to the magic of our journey!

All climbers had a restful night at Forest Camp, which has contributed positively to their overall morale and energy levels. Following a hearty breakfast, all climbers have commenced their ascent toward Shira 1 Camp.

The weather conditions are notably favorable for us, characterized by clear skies and pleasant temperatures, which enhance the climbing experience. This combination of adequate rest and optimal weather sets a promising tone for the day's journey ahead.

After summiting the magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro, a 2-day safari adventure with Team Kilimanjaro is a perfect way for Nan to unwind and enjoy the incredible wildlife up close. Her safari experience allows her to have intimate wildlife encounters. She can observe the animals in their habitat while enjoying the tranquility of the landscape.

The diversity of landscapes here in Tarangire National Park enhances her safari experience, offering numerous opportunities for exploration and wildlife sightings. The expansive swamps and acacia woodlands create a beautiful contrast, and the variety of animals she’ll encounter—especially the iconic elephants—will be unforgettable.

After an arduous journey, we arrived safely at Mweka Gate, marking the end of our climb. Now, we're in Moshi Town at Kitchen Flavour Restaurant to commemorate this significant achievement. The atmosphere is filled with a sense of accomplishment as we reflect on the challenges and the breathtaking views we experienced along the way.

This trek not only tested Nan's physical and mental endurance but also offered an opportunity to appreciate the diverse ecosystems and unique landscapes that Mt. Kilimanjaro has to offer.

It's day 3 of our trek and we're hiking to Moir Hut from Shira 1 Camp.

The route from Shira 1 Camp to Moir Hut is indeed one of the more rewarding parts of the trek, as it takes all climbers through varied terrain and is closer to the mountain’s more rugged features. With each step, the surroundings will likely feel more dramatic, with views that grow more expansive and breathtaking as we climb higher.

The shifting landscape, with its rocky outcrops, wild grasses, and distant view of the mountain, gives a sense of how dynamic and alive the environment is.

On Day 2 of our trek, we depart from Forest Camp and begin our journey towards Shira 1 Camp. The morning is fresh, and the air feels crisp as we continue our ascent.
