My name is Gail Slocombe and I am a Civil Marriage Celebrant, which means that I am authorised by the Commonwealth Attorney General's Department to solemnise marriages under the Marriage Act (1961). I became a Civil Marriage Celebrant because I believe very strongly in marriage and have a strong passion to see loving couples united forever in friendship, companionship, love and joy. In order to marry in Australia, you must both be at least 18 years of age and must have at least two witnesses to the marriage that are at least 18 years of age. You must also sign a “Notice of Intended Marriage” (or “NOIM”), which I will provide at our first meeting.
