Western Rocky Mountain Council of the IFFF The Federation of Fly Fishers dedicated to the betterment of the sport of fly fishing through Conser (Written by Ruth Zinck of Calgary, Alberta Canada)

The Western Rocky Mountain Council (WRMC) of the Federation of Fly Fishers came into being in 1980 with Mike Wolverton as the first Council president. Encompassing some of the finest fly fishing waters in the world, the Council is geographically large. Montana, Idaho, Utah, Alberta, Saskatchewan and sections of Wyoming and South Dakota are all in the WRMC. Along with dedicated conservation efforts

by council clubs, we also believe that FFF stands for Fly fishing, Friends and Fun. WRMC is an association of fly fishers from the Council area who, as individuals and clubs, transcend state and international borders to promote the sport of fly fishing through education and example. We believe fly fishing fosters conservation, sportsmanship, camaraderie and concern for the preservation of waters and the lands through which they flow. It is incumbent upon us to strive to preserve this sport with strength of will and zealous concern for those who are of like mind in the generations that follow us.
