The gutting out has begun!

Unfortunately Lambton Shores is having a scheduled power outage today to improve service to the area, but it really stinks when you need to use some power tools. I guess good old fashioned elbow grease is how it’s gonna be! 🔨

Also, I’ll be amalgamating the page with our page in the near future so that it’s helping with my life/work balance goal. So make sure you are following us over there for Reno updates.

It’s been an unusual couple of years hasn’t it?

And to have several projects on the go requiring building and renovation material and finding labour and trades to make the magic happen, well to say it’s been a challenge would be an understatement.

But still we have decided to go forward with a Fall 2022 overhaul of this little old beach cabin.

This means moving a couple walls. Opening up and vaulting the ceilings. New kitchen and bath. Floors. A new patio. And even a roof extension with a cabana to sit under in any kind of weather and oh! An attached bunkie!

It won’t check off all the boxes on our dream wish list for this old beach bungalow but it’ll cost about the same as marriage counseling and result in us falling in love with this shack all over again!
