I've been in San Andres, Colombia for the week, seeing too many of the locals and tourists from mainland Colombia not conscious about their actions dropping plastic on the beach saddens me but also reminds me that it's not that they want to mess things up, they just haven't been educated to understand the implications.

Rather than moaning we spent an hour or so picking up plastic in front of them to demonstrate what has to happen....

This post by Rich Eats reminds me on a bigger scale how corporations are doing this... Seeing McDonald's CLOSING in a main city of the UK is a big step forward.
