Have your cameras ready!!!

This is one of my favorite character meet and greets at Universal. The transformer meet and greet takes place near the Transformer ride in the Production Central area in Universal Studios Florida.

You can meet Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and The Evil Megatron. Not all the characters are out at the same time or the same day.
This is definitely a cool experience and I would recommend not skipping this and checking it out while in the park.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE LIGHTS START TO TWINKLE?

I really enjoy Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White, this is one of the character meals offered at Disney World. The Storybook Dining at Artist Point experience is located at Wilderness Lodge....which is in the Magic Kingdom Area and one of the many on property resorts you can choose from.

The Evil Queen is one of the best parts of the whole experience! You also get to meet Snow White and two of the seven dwarfs. As soon as the lights start to flicker you know something is about to happen!

The food is good and very kid friendly. One of the best parts was the dessert and the chocolates at the end! I love how the apps and the desserts were served on fake tree brances in the middle of your table. The Evil Queen was totally in character and so awesome to meet.

This is character experience is definitely worth it and its a bonus if you are staying at the Wilderness Lodge!

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARE FACED WITH A LONG WAIT TIME AT DISNEYWORLD......

It can be hard waiting in line for a long period of time, especially for kids. I would always have some stickers in my backpack to help pass the time when the wait was going to be long. The Play by Disney app is also fun for kids. Sometimes you can play games based on what ride you are waiting for.

But what can be really cool?? When the ride queue has fun activities for kids. Winnie the Pooh in Magic Kingdom is one of my favorite queues. Kids love making the honey disappear, you never know who is hiding under all the honey!!

IS IT WORTH GETTING TO MAGIC KINGDOM BEFORE MICKEY'S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS STARTS?

You are allowed in the park at 4pm and the party goes from 7p-12M. We like to enter early and have dinner and start taking advantage of the short wait times on all the rides. We got to the park at 4:15p...dont forget to grab your map from a cast member. This will tell you where all the fun things are located during the party.

We ate dinner at Columbia Harbour House and started riding rides at 5:15pm. We like Columbia Harbour House for dinner because we like to start in Fantasyland- since one of our must do's was going to the Elsa and Anna meet and greet( which was NEW this year during the party)

We rode the following rides all by 7:15p
Haunted Mansion
Small World
Peter Pan
Winnie the Pooh
Mine Train- we rode twice
Ariel
Teacups
Met Elsa and Anna

We got so much done before the party even started- it was AMAZING!! During the party we were also able to ride Tiana's Bayou, watch the parade, watch fireworks, rode Tron(twice), people mover, did the laugh floor, rode Buzz and the cars, and checked out Club Tinsel. We also rode pirates of the Carribean. And of course had time to stop at the cookie stations!
If you get to the park early you will get a lot done before the party even starts. I would definitely recommend getting to the park at 4pm or a little after 4pm. Where would you watch Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at Magic Kingdom?

This is one of my favorite things to watch and experience during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom. The party is from 7pm-12M but you can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm. You can watch the parade at 8:30pm or 11pm. There are a number of cool places to watch the parade, one of the more popular choices would be down main street. We like to set up in Frontierland. We like this spot for a number of reasons:
1) Less crowded and easier to get a spot for kids to fully see the parade
2) You do not have to arrive to save a spot as early as you would to view from Main Street. We ususally start looking for a spot about 30-40 minutes before the parade
3) We have one fun snack to eat while we wait and then the parade begins making it a really easy wait if you have small kids.
4) The parade route will begin near the Tiana's Bayou next to the entrance to Adventureland- which means you are the first section finished with the parade. This makes it really simple to get on rides such as Tiana's, Big Thunder Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Magic Carpets or Haunted Mansion.
5) Maximize your time by finishing the parade and riding rides while the parade is still going on. Gives you more time to check more boxes off your itinerary.
6) Look for the white ropes along the parade path and try to set up right in front- you will have a front row seat to the parade and if you have kids set them up right in front of the ropes so they will be able to see everything.

I think this ride took years off my life- but WOW it was so fun! WHERE AM I??

Universal Island of Adventure at Universal- riding the Velocicoaster. This is the fastest and tallest launch coaster in Florida with four inversions with only a lap bar restraint. I think this is why it was the scariest ride I have ever done but also the most awesome at the same time! All I can say is the air time out of my seat! LOL.

This ride is lcoated in Jurassic World at Universal Island Adventure. The min height requirement for this ride is 51 inches, child swap is available and there is a single rider lane available. You will definitely need a locker to store all your stuff on this ride. You can find the lockers at the entrance.

Start of the ride you will launch 70mph in just 2.4 seconds. Then there is the 155ft tall climb before dropping 140 feet down at an 80 degree angle.....AMAZING!

Universal has been so much fun! We have had such a great time exploring and riding some really fantastic rides. WHAT DID I THINK ABOUT THE SINGLE RIDER LANES AT UNIVERSAL ORLANDO?

I decided to test out the single rider lanes at Universal today. I did not have early entry and I did not have an express pass and I wanted to save a little time waiting in lines. The Single Rider line was amazing I saved so much time in line. Some lines will go faster than others. It depends on how many seats are in each row. For example Hagrids will go slower because its only a two seater versus some of the others that have have four or more.

Few pros and cons regarding the single rider lane at Universal.
PROS:
*Most of the time it will save time in line but it depends on the ride.
* If you don't have an express pass this is an option to consider
* There are a lot of rides at Universal that offer a Single Rider option.
CONS:
*Its not guaranteed the single ride lanes are open
*Its not guaranteed the single rider lane will save time- you could be waiting the same amount of time as the standby lane
*You will miss most of the queues- so if you want to experience any of the queues the single rider lane is not for you.
* Your party will be split up and you will be riding the ride next to a stranger.

These were the rides I tested today in the Single Rider lane and it worked and saved me lots of time between 9am- 3pm:
*Skull Island- 45 minute standby wait- I waited 15 minutes in the single rider lane
* Spider Man- 60 minute standby wait- I waited 15 minutes in the single rider lane
* Revenge of the Mummy- 75 minute standby wait- I waited 30 minutes in the single rider lane
*Transformers- 60 minute standby wait- I waited 20 minutes in the single rider lane
* Forbidden Journey( Harry Potter)- 55 minute standby wait- I waited 5 minutes in the single rider lane
* Hagrids( Harry Potter)- 140 minute standby wait- I waited 1hr and 10 minutes in the single rider lane.

I would definately try this option again and save time at Universal with the Single Rider lane especially around the holiday's. There are many more rides that offer single rider lane option at Universal- these are just the rides I decided to check out today. Looking for some suggestions on dining at Disney Springs? Look no further.....
We just went to Summer House on the Lake in Disney Springs. The food was very good and the ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic. They had outdoor seating right on the water, heaters were out there for chilly nights. We had some chips and salsa, fish and chips, tacos, and a pizza. They also had a really nice kids menu.
One of the hightlights of the whole experience was the cookie bar. They had some staple cookies but also some cookies that were seasonal. We tried the Chocolate Chip with sea salt, Lemon, Pink Lady, Birthday Cake, and Brownie. Our favorite was the pink lady. This was a sugar cookie with pink frosting topped with sprinkles. Reservations are hard to get so book at your 60 day dining reservation day for the best chance to score a reservation. You will not be disappointed!

What to do if this happens..... you don't have a multi pass for FROZEN OR REMY and no early entry? 😲. Well this was us at Epcot, our morning went something like this......

We are starting off our magical adventure at Epcot during the holiday magic, and we were not staying on property. We decided to buy a multi pass for this day. It was crowded but we still managed to see and have so many experiences! We were not able to get a lightning lane for Frozen or Remy that fit into our schedule so we thought- OH NO!!! Since we didn't have a multi pass for Frozen or Remy but still wanted to ride both of these rides we decided to rope drop one since the wait times would increase throughout the day.

We were entering through the main entrance- we looked at the wait times right before rope drop at 9am and we went with Frozen because the wait time was shorter. It took us approximately 15 minutes to get in line and we waited 50 minutes.
❄️PRO TIP- I downloaded the Play Disney app for the kids and we had fun playing the games on the app, stickers are a great kid distraction, hidden picture books, my kids also like to listen to books so we download one to our phones so they could listen while they waited, snacks are also a great distraction.
❄️PRO TIP- another pro tip- Disney has some great queue's that you wait through and the kids can be distracted by some of the fun things while waiting lines
Since we ropped dropped Frozen the next big hurdle of the day would be how to ride Remy without the line being 60-70 minutes or more. We decided to save Remy for the last ride we did that night.
❄️PRO TIP: Best time to ride Frozen or Remy if you don't have a multi pass would be early morning or late at night.
❄️PRO TIP: Keep checking the app- you never know if a last minute multi pass will appear OR if the line all of a sudden gets shorter. This happened to us- Remy broke down and we kept checking the app and when the ride came back we were able to get in line and only waited 40 minutes.
❄️PRO TIP- Meet and greet for Elsa and Anna are right next to the Frozen ride- the meet and greet opens at 9:15am and you can line start lining up before 9:15am( please check the app for greet times since they can change frequently). This is the only meet and greet for Elsa and Anna ( unless you are attending the Very Merry Christmas party- they will be at Magic Kingdom during the Christmas party ONLY)
❄️PRO TIP- In my opinion Epcot is one of the best places to meet characters and princesses!

We magaged the crowds as best we could- managed to ride Remy, Frozen and Guardians among other rides, meet a few characters and had the most Magical Time! We even scored a last minute dining reservation for lunch. We rode Frozen, Soarin, Nemo, Figment, and watched the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival before we took a break for lunch. It was Magical!!
