Our first stop was the stunning waterfall in Sebatu, where the group was captivated by the natural beauty and soothing sounds of cascading water. We then ventured into a nearby cave, a serene and sacred space that provided the perfect setting for a peaceful meditation session. The energy within the cave was profound, leaving everyone feeling centered and rejuvenated. After our spiritual pause, we headed to a charming café that offered breathtaking views of Mount Batur. Here, the guests delighted in trying local delicacies, savoring the unique flavors while taking in the majestic scenery. The adventure continued as we visited the site where lava once flowed, a powerful and awe-inspiring place that left a lasting impression on the group. The day concluded with a visit to the village of Bayung Gede, where we immersed ourselves in the local culture and history. Traveling in the open Volkswagens throughout the day added to the sense of freedom and connection with the stunning landscapes, making this excursion truly memorable for everyone involved

The Munduk waterfall trek is an enriching adventure through North Bali’s lush landscapes, taking hikers through a series of stunning waterfalls. The trek typically starts at Melanting Cottages, with the path weaving through dense jungle and scenic views. One of the highlights is the Red Coral Waterfall, also known as Munduk Waterfall, which is easily accessible and offers beautiful photography opportunities, though its shallow pool isn’t suitable for swimming.Continuing along the trail, hikers encounter the Labuhan Kebo Waterfall, a multi-tiered cascade nestled in a verdant valley. The trek involves crossing a bamboo bridge and descending about 100 steps, making it a bit challenging but rewarding with the serene views it offers. The path then leads to the majestic Melanting Waterfall, which is around 100 meters high and surrounded by a pristine jungle setting. The final stop is the Golden Valley Waterfall, a tranquil spot perfect for relaxation and photography. We had an amazing day on this trek along with our retreat group lead by @zeroproofexperiences
Water Healing Ceremony
The Balinese form of Hinduism is quite distinct from what is practiced in India. It is something that evolved over time: it has animist roots, stemming from the island’s predominantly agrarian society. Fertility is of utmost importance for farmers, it gives sustenance, health and comfort.
Water, as the central element of fertility, is therefore the giver of life. It must be revered — and so it is. A fusion of local practices and universal beliefs. Prior to being termed Agama Hindu Bali, this bespoke belief system was called Agama Tirta, ‘the religion of holy water’, because of how prevalent and important holy water is to its believers.
In life and in death, in heaven and on Earth, water remains present. The Balinese Hindu constantly on the search for holy water, revering it, purifying and cleansing with it. To preserve this water, to ensure it remains accessible and clean, is therefore of utmost importance across the island.
