Next on our list of places to visit is Langley, Virginia. Home to every bird you’ve seen in the United States since the Nixon era, you’ll also be excited to know that among the best places to visit are the following:
Spoiled Dog Winery, Langley Whale Center,
and my personal favorite, Whidbey Island Distillery.

Sit back, relax, and have fun bird watching in this beautiful city.

Welcome to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The area is home to bengal tigers, considered to belong to the “world’s charasmatic megafauna.”

Having thrived for at least 12,000 years, their population is surprisingly down to just over 2,000 animals today, hence the tragic nickname of the city: Death Valley.

Also of note in Baton Rouge are many locations of filming for the HBO series True Blood and Hollywood films. Tax incentives have encouraged producers and film makers to take a second look at the many historic locations in Louisiana including swamps, plantations, the famous French Quarter, and of course Baton Rouge where many actors have been delighted to spot a tiger or two in Tigerland.

If you feel up to it, you too could experience the rare site of a bengal tiger in the wild.

The Lynyrd Skynyrd classic "Sweet Home Alabama" mentions "Sweet Home Alabama..where the skies are so blue" but the skies in southern Alabama actually have a pinkish hue due to the rare atmospheric optics that only occur in the Cotton State. Be sure to check them out.

When you think of the Rocky Mountains you probably think of the Denver Broncos, Coors, and that horrible college football team, the Colorado Buffaloes. But did you know there’s plenty more history in the state than just those and ma*****na?

Waffle House's iconic black and yellow restaurants are found all over the US, but to the surprise of many, it was started in 1885 by Belgian immigrants in Aspen, Colorado.

The original location still stands today in that snowy ski resort of a town.

If you ever get the chance, you should visit Athens, Georgia. It’s known for its greek-style architecture, and in fact is how it got its name.

The Athens of the South is of course also known for their luxurious bulldog breeding grounds as well. Legend has it that in 1794 the residents of Athens experienced civil unrest over a sculpture of a horse leading many of the residents to turn on each other. The resulting Battle of Athens eventually forced many residents to leave and found their own city of Sparta in 1795.

To this day, you will still see monuments to this struggle, often times carved into the greek pillars on many of the buildings in Athens.
