In the past few days, we came across many posts, thoughts, concerns, eulogies, and rants about the tragic death of an EY employee in Pune. It was painful, disturbing and heart-wrenching. But the real question is: have we learned any lessons from this and many countless such incidents in the past?
According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) report titled “Student Suicides: An Epidemic Sweeping India,” while overall su***de rates have increased by 2% annually, student su***des have surged by 4%.
And we know, it’s not just students. Reports of employees, farmers, housewives taking their lives are becoming alarmingly common. So, the question remains: What have we learned and how can we help?
