Our local hosts are the heartbeat of Here and Now. 🙌 They embody everything good about travel.
Fun, caring, energetic, authentically themselves and all around solid, amazing people -> They’re the most important part of each trip. And, ultimately, what you talk about the most in our post trip surveys and reviews.
Each host is an entrepreneur either working for themselves solely or part owner in their company. This is critically important on two fronts:
1️⃣ Supporting local, small businesses / entrepreneurs in each destination we visit
2️⃣ Better experience for you as travelers! Local hosts / guides who are independently employed know their homes best, are amazing at getting off the beaten path, and can adapt beautifully with ever-changing circumstances and obstacles (weather, holidays, road closures, etc.).
All this to say, our hosts are the most important piece of the puzzle. We spend extensive time with each of them before partnering and it's a process we take super serious. It has to be a perfect fit.
We’re fortunate to work alongside them and to call them all friends! So, when you book the trip, of course you get the unbelievable experiences, the planning, itinerary, the accommodations, and everything else.
But, more importantly, you get the conversations around the dinner table, bus rides, and walks with our hosts that give you that extra special connection and insight to the place you are visiting ☺️
So, consider this an appreciation post for our hosts — we couldn’t do it without them! 🤲
