Finally, here's the complete reveal of our major renovations at the Rose of the Sea! Our bathroom and kitchen are completely brand new with modern amenities, furniture, flooring, and lighting. We also installed a new wooden floor throughout the living room, bedrooms, and hallway. In addition, we refinished the doors and fixtures (closet, rooms, hallway), upgraded the electrical system, AC, repositioned the refrigerator and water heater, and installed a new front door (to be featured in a future post). It look longer than we thought, but good things are worth the wait. Let us know what you think of these renovations. We're ready to welcome you back to the Rose of the Sea! 💕

It took longer than expected, but we're nearing the end of the apartment renovation! So here we are taking a moment to celebrate. Thanks to for baking this delicious rolling cake to help us celebrate this accomplishment. 🎂🎉 Stay tuned for sneak peeks of the new interiors. 😎

However way you say it and however way you celebrate, we hope that you had wonderful and memorable moments during the holidays, connecting with your family and loved ones both near and far.

Featured here is a festive ceramic tile artwork by one of our beloved local artists, Quimeta Serra Fornos who passed away last November at the age of 96. We had the honor and pleasure of meeting her in person in her St. Feliu home last year. She was very bright, warm, welcoming, and lively in conversation. She lived her life fully and happily pursued her passion for painting until the end. May she rest in peace.

It may be rainy and cloudy lately, but there are still sunny days a plenty. Here's a glimpse from last weekend as we strolled around the port of St. Feliu de Guixols. This is an old historic fort by the port situated on a hill that protected the city from pirates in the 18th century, Salvament Marítim.

Hello, friends! As with changes in the season, we're also preparing for big changes and improvements. From now until December 17th, we will be temporarily closed as we undergo a major renovation to further enhance your stay at our coastal home. Hey, friends of the Rose of the Sea! This is Dexter. Apart from being a co-host, I'm also a graphic designer and illustrator. Over the last couple of months, I've illustrated some designs inspired by the beautiful scenic spots here in Rosamar. Olga and I were inspired by vintage travel posters and wanted to create some for our community. But we didn't stop there. We went ahead and printed the designs on coffee mugs and tote bags and we are planning on printing them on other merchandise in the future. Needless to say, one of our guest rooms feature my artwork. Also, our guests have the option of purchasing these items when they stay at the Rose of the Sea.

In the business of hosting, we have met so many wonderful and friendly guests and we always look forward to hosting them again. And when they do return, it makes us so happy to see them and to know how much they love and appreciate our place. To receive gifts from them is just the topping on the cake. Thank you so much Maria and Cheslav for the delicious and beautiful chocolates from Ukraine and Maryna and Andre for this very tall (and we're sure it's delicious) bottle of red wine from Germany. You guys are awesome! ❤️💕

We're so happy to show you our recent renovations to our home by the sea! First, we have a new automatic/retractable awning over our balcony. This addition allows you to enjoy the balcony more during the day especially when the sun shines above. Perfect for the warm summer days ahead! We've also renovated our balcony sliding doors and bedroom doors/windows that both insulates from the warm temperature as well as outdoor sounds (if you desire that extra level of quiet). It also has a retractable screen door for when you want some fresh air but not the insects. We're ready to take on the summer! 🌞❤️🏝️

Since the very beginning, we're always thinking of ideas on how to make our home cozy and comfortable for our guests. For this corner, we thought it would be nice to create a space where you can retreat with your favorite book on a sunny afternoon in the sanctuary and shade of the bedroom, while allowing you to peak at the world outside.
