Embrace your wild side on a full day of game drive in the Amboseli National Park. This was our first chance to begin to seek out the big 5. We enjoyed a picnic lunch on the open plains, watching hippos out of the water eating their lunch and herds of Elephants passing by in the distance. We woke up early and drove to enter Tanzania, a country devoted to harmony among its people and animals. Drove through villages. Today we visited the Shanga, a local jewelry workshop that trains and employs citizens with disabilities, from glass blowing to bead making to wire wrapping to woodworking. While having lunch we found what piece of Africa we would take home. Our girls we have named the giraffes in the painting Imani (which means hope ) and Furhaha (which means Faith) will hang on our wall and remember our trip forever. Our day ended in Karatu, a humble town located on the precipice of untamed nature. We overnight in a charming lodge where colorful gardens meet welcoming hospitality. At the Country lodge

Our journey begins today in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. Serving the gateway to Africa’s sought-out wildlife. We visited the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust which rehabs young or injured elephants. They watched the gentle baby giants and they were fed by their caretakers. These caretakers care for the babies, feeding them every 6 hours around the clock for up to 3-4 years before they get to go back to the wild. The Elephants can start to stay out all day in the bush and return at night or for feedings and as they grow, they choose to stay out with their wild elephant families longer and longer until one day they just don’t come back. And then that is what is called SUCCESS. We went to the Blixen -xen - Out of Africa farmhouse for a tour then headed to the Rothchild Giraffe sanctuary. Then we headed to the Kazuri Bead factory.
