Tourist are starting to come back to Israel. Last week, I had a wonderful tour with visitors from the UK to Herodium.

During the Sukkot holidays, I organized a few advanced excursions for my Israeli audience (in Hebrew).

In Caesarea, we followed the story of Herod's magnificent building project and the daily life in the capital of the Roman province.

In Jerusalem, we explored the archaeology of the Temple Mount.

Finally, in Herodium we played the "Game of Thrones" by investigating conspiracies in Herod's court.

A few days ago I guided a tour following the story of the Great Revolt. We met in Jerusalem and embarked on a journey with the book of Josephus. We discussed where were the positions of the romans and the rebels. We read the speech of Titus when he negotiated with Jews. Finally we attempted to answer the question of how the temple was destroyed and why. It was an excursion with much food for thought after!
