Romantic 1 bedroom 1.5 bath hillside cottage, Playa Potrero, Guanacaste, Costa Rica ( Flamingo area) with AC upstairs. Overlooking the sunset on the ocean and the waves on Prieta Beach with Penca Beach also just a 10-15 minutes walk away. The quaint village of Potrero is also just 500 meters away a 10 minutes walk for all your needs, coffee shops, Italian Pizza, Italian ice cream, restaurants, bank machine, groceries, etc. Flamingo and Flamingo marina, Catalinas development, and Surfside are a quick 10 minutes drive away. Note that this is a 500 SF 1 bedroom cottage and although the couch folds to a comfy queen bed of 10" thick foam. Similar to an yacth or a RV they can sleep 4-6 people, but the comfort level for all will not be great.
If you want hustle and bustle and surfing Tamarindo, Playa Grande, and Playa Coco are 30 -40 minutes drive away. Note that this is the driest area of Costa Rica, that means that theres low humidity and insects, low incidence of poisonous snakes, low incidence of Dengue fever and Malaria, and if you wash your clothing it will dry quickly. Theres plenty to do with open play Pickleball in Brasilito 3-4 mornings a week, Fishing, sailing and diving charters out of Flamingo . The white sand beaches of Penca and Prieta are safe and sheltered, great for kids, a leisurely swim, snorkeling, relaxing, or watching spectacular sunsets. Miles of scenic hiking and mountain bike trails are nearby. Live music is usually at 2 -3 places a few nights a week .
The Caretakers are fairly close by so they can help with repairs if needed, cleaning services if wanted, better security, and Spanish practice if you want to up your Spanish.
Rentals for 3 day minimum, weekly, monthly or 6 months .. Best rates for longer stays and the off season May until December.( Aprox $900 USD month)On season rates short term are $100-$125 a night , price decreases as time increases.
