Recent visitor to Little Gasparilla Island shared this -- A weeks collection of more than 2000 fossilized sharks teeth! Our beaches are amazing for shelling, mostly because there aren't thousands of people there. At any given time, you might see a couple other people out there.
Yes it's on a barrier island with no roads, no bridges, no cars... but we have this fine ferry to get you to and from in about 10 minutes - The ferry and mainland parking are free

It's all about beach days and sunsets
This Placida Beach Condo is fully renovated and under new ownership! Relax, unwind, grab a glass of wine and soak in the spectacular sunsets on the beach or from the two screened lanais in this quiet beach front sanctuary on Little Gasparilla Island. The condo features two private bedrooms, each a with queen bed. Two full baths are a plus, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room is there if needed. You’ll find everything to cook gourmet meals or quick beach-side bites in the fully equipped kitchen. Included in your rental is free mainland parking and access to the island with free private ferry that will take you across to Little Gasparilla Island in about ten minutes. It's A Shore Thing! is just a short walk from the dock and a few steps to the beach boardwalk or the heated freshwater pool. For your days at the beach, under the unit in our storage area, we have beach chairs, a paddle board, beach toys, masks, snorkels and towels, as well as a beach umbrella and pop-up canopy and a wagon to easily transport everything. Bed and bath linens are also included. There is a washer and dryer in the condo so you don’t have to overpack! Expertly equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay - all you need to do is bring your clothes and groceries. Publix is a mile from the mainland dock, or you may choose to take advantage of a provisioning service that will stock this unit prior to your arrival for a fee, based on availability - inquire at time of booking for additional information. Details for accessing the ferry will be provided after booking or upon request. Dockage is available for up to a 22' boat on the island for an additional fee. Looking for a shorter stay? Message us and ask about a shorter or last minute reservation. There may be openings between longer bookings.
