La Tour de Genèbre has now been sold to a family who will simply enjoy living there. I am so grateful to all of our guests who have crossed our paths over the years and particulary to those who returned year after year and made our time there so special.

First local event in a long time! Easter egg hunt took place this weekend - arts and crafts for the children followed by an egg and treasure hunt in the woods. Chocolates from Bovetti and Amar once again behind the plancha - happy days :) !!

Some of you who were previous guests at Les Crouquets (or who follow our blog posts) may remember Thierry, who turned up every Saturday morning at Les Crouquets in his white van to deliver fresh bread and croissants or pains chocolat ... always patient with a smiling friendly face while I went round all the gites asking if anyone wanted anything. Thierry also ran his own building business and did lots of work for us over the last 15 years at Les Crouquets, La Genèbre and more recently at our own house build in Jayac.

Sadly Thierry ( 47) was recently killed in an horrific helicopter accident and his funeral took place yesterday. Needless to say people came from far and wide to say their goodbyes. It was a very poignant service and our hearts go out to all his family and close friends.
RIP Thierry 🖤
