Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪 - Day 1 dump

On our first day in Ireland, we visited:

💫 Grafton Street: one of the main shopping destination in Dublin, known for its upscale stores

💫 St Stephen’s Green: Shopping center and a park

💫 Trinity College: One of the most prestigious college in the world, the old library inside is a must visit

💫 Ha’penny bridge: Not so fascinating, but has an interesting history to it

💫 Temple bar: Centre of Dublin’s nightlife

We had our lunch at Govinda’s (pure veg joint run by Iskcon) and dinner at Umi Falafel (again a pure veg lebanese joint - must try).

For traveling around, we hired bicycles (very convenient - can be done through the app ‘Dublin bikes’).

⭐️ How to get there - Search for ‘Le Morne Beach’ on maps (and not ‘Le Morne Public Beach’ - this will take you to a completely different location). You will this view of the majestic Le Morne mountain⛰and the tiny island🏝- Ilot Fourneau!

Sea Walk is an incredible experience. A must do activity when in Mauritius (especially for non-swimmers, who are uncomfortable with scuba or snorkelling 🤿, like Siddhi :)).

🇨🇭 Sigriswil Panaroma Brigde guide🇨🇭

The right place to go if you want all the beautiful Swiss views to yourself. Not widely visited, as it is a bit of detour from Interlaken, this suspension bridge offers all the scenic views with an added thrill of walking in the air!

The price is only 8 CHF (if you visit with a family, it may even cost lower at 5 CHF per person)

Using Public Transport, you can take a bus from Interlaken Ost station (No. 21 until Gunten and change to No. 25 till the bridge - 1 hour one way) or a ferry (from Interlaken West to Gunten and change to bus No. 25 - 2 hour one way). Both the routes are scenic (ferry being more scenic), but bus will be quicker and less expensive. We recommend a combination (bus one way and ferry one way).

PS - Our inspiration to visit the bridge was K-Drama ‘Crash Landing on You’ 😀

🇨🇭 The star of your Swiss travel itinerary >>Save & Share!

🇨🇭The Glacier Express is often called as the ‘slowest express train in the world’, but what is the hurry to reach the destination when the journey is so AWESOME! 😍

🇨🇭Switzerland is known for its terrific public transport and the Glacier Express is definitely the best of the best 🏔. The train runs between St. Moritz and Zermatt 🏔 with 3-4 stops in between. You can do the journey either way or also a part journey by getting on/ off at any of the stops.

⭐️ Quick tip - A seat reservation is mandatory. Get this done 2-3 months in advance, specially for the window seats, as the train gets full rather quickly.

🏔The Birg Skyline Walk and Thrill Walk - Walking along the perpendicular mountain wall gives you the perfect adrenaline rush with a splendid view of the Swiss Alps playing hide and seek through the clouds.

🏔For adventure seekers, the walk features a crawl-through tunnel, glass-bottomed floor, rope and a cattle grid that show the valley straight 8000ft below.

🏔The best part - the experience is FREE of any charge! You can do it on your way to Schilthorn (the James Bond spot), as Birg is one of the train stops.

If you are not scared of heights, we dare you to save, share and of course visit !!

Planet Mars on a budget🚀 😀🇯🇴

🏜No space flight needed to visit this place. ‘The Martian’ was the latest movie shot here, thanks to the Mars like terrain of Wadi Rum.

🧱The best way to experience this landscape is by taking a jeep safari (2 hrs to full day safari options available).

🛻We opted for a 4 hour safari, which was quite sufficient to cover the main highlights of this terrain.

No matter how many retakes it takes.. here’s to getting a good picture with him ❤️😛🧿
The famous canals of Amsterdam city has scenic views all around, but if you want pictures with flowers and cycles around.. the best place to be is near The Flower Market. Tram is the easiest way to reach this market and you can get down one or two stops before and walk to these spots, as they start a few metres before the Market.

This immersive feature, located in the Mexico pavilion, is inspired from the Mystika Museum in Tulum, Mexico. Truly mesmerizing.

Dubai Creek Harbour is one of our favourite places to witness the sunset and the Dubai skyline!

Is there anything Dubai can’t do? 😅

Visit the Water Feature at the to know what we’re trying to say. Cold water splashes and cobbled floor massage is what tired feet need after a touring around the expo and this just ticks off all.

Located in the ‘Jubilee’ section next to the Al Wasl Dome, with three entrances to the area. The feature runs throughout the day with a break of just 8 mins, so don’t get disheartened if you see large queues, as these tend to move quickly. Best would be to visit on a weekday though.

PS: The water flow is considerable, so roll up your trousers! And No shoes allowed on the waterfall.

Thank you 2021 for being kind to us. We are grateful that we could create many wonderful memories and also overcome the challenges posed during the year.💪🏼

We were blessed to be able to visit our homes twice, travel to new places (Sharjah, Zanzibar, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Netherlands), and exploring Dubai like never before. 🧿

With uncertainties still looming around, we hope 2022 gives us the strength to face all things, expected or unexpected. 😇
