From street tacos in Tijuana to wine tasting in the Valle de Guadalupe, escape to Baja California and discover the culinary gems that await! Scott Koenig (from AGringoInMexico.com) and his wife, Baja Luxury designer Ursula, on a three vineyard tour and late lunch in Baja’s beautiful wine country, the Valle de Guadalupe. A comfortable 90-minute van ride away from the San Diego/Tijuana border, the “

Valle” was recently named one of the 10 BEST Wine Travel Destinations of 2014 by Wine Enthusiast Magazine! It’s wines, food and breathtaking landscapes are on par with Napa, but with a south of the border flair. Some of Baja’s best chefs are also represented in the region, including Martin San Roman, Javier Plascencia, Ryan Steyn, Flor Franco and others. Our tour includes:

• Wine tastings at three wineries

• Late lunch at one of the Valle’s fine restaurants or campestres (includes appetizer, salad, entrée, dessert and a glass of wine)

• Round trip transportation from Tijuana to Valle de Guadalupe in a comfortable passenger van with a friendly, local, knowledgable tour guide.

This Friday, one of my favorite chefs in Baja California, Sandra Vazquez is teaming up with with the affable and talented chef Moumen Nouri at his paradisiacal oasis Kous Kous Del Valle for what's sure to be a memorable evening of great food, wine, belly dancing, and...oh, that view (named by Agringoinmexico one of the best views in the Valle de Guadalupe)! I've enjoyed "Moroxican" cuisine in the past at my friend Bo Bendana's former Mi Casa Supper Club, and let me tell you, it's a fusion that works deliciously. And at approximately $70/US, it's affordable too. Ursula Koenig and I will be there with Moroccan bells on. JOIN US! Book at: https://acortar.link/0dKHFn

It's been one year to the day that my buddy and tour partner Fernando Cuevas slipped his mortal coil and passed into the Great Beyond. In this day and age of bought and paid for influencers–who visit a place once and claim to be "experts"–Fernando was naturally influential and loved to show his tour guests his favorite spots in Baja California, Baja California Sur, and beyond, con gusto! Hope to see you on the Other Side someday, amigo. Maybe you can give me a full-on tour of your favorite celestial destinations ❤️
