Tromsø, Norway is often referred to as the "Gateway to the Arctic". This city is renowned for its gorgeous Northern Lights in the winter and its midnight sunlight in the summer. Aside from its natural phenomena, Tromsø also hosts numerous festivals, museums, and a historic center within the town. The town also has many activities to keep visitors busy such as dog sledding, whale watching, snowmobile safaris for the winter months as well as hiking and kayaking for the summer months. Kotor, Montenegro is a beautiful town with an amazing scenery, including the bay and nearby Montenegrin mountains. Definitely a great location for anybody that loves both the mountains and large bodies of water. Kotor is also a great location for seafood lovers as it is available at great prices. What makes Kotor so great is the average cost of a one week trip per person is around $760, much more affordable than many other locations this beautiful.
