Lots of changes in my world at the end of 2023.
The Tonbo Luxury Tours website has been closed down.
We have decided to simplify our life and enjoy our travel as we choose.
I would love to still talk travel and am always available to help with advice on itineraries for Thailand, Bali and Vietnam.

Koh Samui is a new location for us to discover.
But we are finding it hard to leave our beautiful resort.

We have had an epic scouting trip to Bali. Checking out hotels and villas for our upcoming women’s only trip next fall.

Also trying some new excursions that turned out to be a highlight of the trip!

This was hard. We hiked up a volcano, in the dark so we could see the sunrise.
Did I want to quit? Yes. Were my legs wobbly? Yup. Was my heart pounding and my breath heavy? Oh ya!
Am I glad I did it? Absolutely 💯
Another reminder that with hard work and perseverance comes great reward. A timely reminder for me.
Years ago I hiked Mt Washington and that gave me so much confidence that I could do hard things. I drew on that feeling many times over the years. Again today, those feelings came up for me. I had help from my amazing guide . Remember needing a helping hand is nothing to be ashamed of. We all need help to achieve our goals.

Hey FB travel friends! Tonbo Luxury Tours is heading over to Bali in a little over a week.

This trip is to finalize all the plans for our upcoming Bali Women Only trip next September.

Everyone who is on the mailing list will get the first chance to book one of the 10 spots. After a week we will open up any remaining spots.

Oh Venice, you are like the pretty girl who knows they are pretty. Somehow just a bit over confident, thinking everyone will fall in love with you.

Bologna you are full of surprises. It has been an incredible week exploring every little street, eating all the gelato and genuinely falling for you.
Highly recommend Bologna as a wonderfully authentic city to visit.

Bologna should be on your Italian cities to visit list. The home of Europe’s oldest university, birthplace of tortellini ( did you know legend says they are fashioned after Venus’ bellybutton) and Bolognese ragu.
Bologna is a lively, slightly rough walkable city north of Florence in the Emilia Romagna region.
If you’re a foodie this area is one you need to visit.
We rented a cute apartment on the edge of the old town and the university area.
We’ve planned each day around what we would like to eat. Sounds like the perfect holiday to us!

Have you dreamt of traveling, backpacking or seeing more of the world before life took over? Education, families, work, commitments that meant those dreams were put on hold.

I know I sure did and once I started traveling I was hooked. Travel opens your mind, your heart and definitely makes you appreciate all that you have.

I want you to do all of this worry free, with my guidance and planning taking all of the stress out of travel.
