What a shot of our Mississippi Moon!

This was one of my favorite moonrise shoots. These photos were taken only a few minutes apart Tuesday, Nov. 8 in Gulfport. I stood in the beach in Long Beach looking east anticipating the moon to come up over Island View/Beach View. Even though I knew the moon was going to pop out eventually, it still caught me off guard once it started peeking over the hotel. It was kind of like waiting for toast and it startles you when it pops out - even though you know it’s going to pop out!
