In an exhilarating display of talent and charisma, the BSTM group CVNT has claimed the top spot at this year's CBM Kpop Star competition. The group, composed of Charles Piscos, Kyle Calipes, Mark John Delvo, Alvie Bantugan, and Denver Darunday, captivated the audience and judges with their electrifying performance, earning them the coveted title.

Meanwhile, the Miss Glamorama 2024 pageant also saw remarkable achievements by ka-tourismo representatives. Mikey Virgins, a standout in the competition, secured the First Runner-Up position. Her exceptional performance and poise also earned her multiple special awards: 👑Miss Eloquent, 👑Miss Photogenic, and 👑Best in Production Number. Mary Jane, another stellar contestant, was honored as the Second Runner-Up, showcasing her grace and talent throughout the event.

The Association of Travel and Tourism Students expressed immense pride in these accomplishments. We are thrilled and proud to see our members excel in these prestigious competitions. 𝑂𝑛 𝐹𝑒𝑏𝑟𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑦 17, 2024, the ATTS Officers were honored to be present at the 𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑴𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒓 𝑴𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆, titled ❞𝑪𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑱𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑰𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔: 𝑨 𝑳𝒂𝒖𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒐 𝑺𝒊 𝑨𝒑𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒂𝒄𝒉," held at Holy Name University. 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗠. 𝗟𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝗻̃𝗮, the esteemed guest speaker, provided a deeply insightful talk on Laudato Si, Pope Francis' encyclical that highlights the importance of environmental stewardship and the responsibility to care for our common home.

We extend our sincere gratitude to 𝙈𝙖❜𝙖𝙢 𝙇𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙝 𝘿𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 and our University President,𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙮 𝙈. 𝙋𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙨𝙤 for extending the invitation to the ATTS Officers, allowing us to participate in this enlightening lecture pertinent to our roles as aspiring tourism professionals. February 14 is celebrated as a day dedicated to love, filled with myths and facts. However, for many Catholics this year, it also represents a period of contemplation and repentance because Valentine's Day and Ash Wednesday coincided on the same day.

The coincidence of both a celebration of love and the beginning of Lent is rare. It has been six years since these two important observances coincided, as Ash Wednesday fell on February 14, 2018. This alignment will happen again in 2029.

The common thread between these two significant occasions is the concept of 𝓛𝓸𝓿𝓮❤. Valentine's Day centers around romantic love, while Ash Wednesday serves as a solemn reminder of Christ's sacrificial love for humanity. It serves as a reminder that love, in its various forms, originates from God. It emphasizes the importance of infusing love into everything we do, with God at the center.

In a momentous event that showcased the convergence of intellect, beauty, and technological prowess, Honey Sheryn Cruz, representing the collaboration of the Association of Travel and Tourism Students (ATTS), and the BISU English Vanguard Organization (BEVO), emerged triumphant as the Techno Olympiad Goddess 2024.

Honey captivated the audience and judges alike with her undeniable grace and charm during the Long Gown Competition, where she clinched the coveted Best in Long Gown award. Her remarkable intelligence and quick wit shone brightly during the rigorous question and answer portion, earning her the distinguished title of Best in Interview.

As the tension mounted during the nerve-wracking final round, Honey delivered a stirring testament to her admiration for the beauty of technology and articulated the imperative for leveraging technology to its fullest potential. Her eloquence and unwavering confidence resonated profoundly with the judges, solidifying her position as the rightful bearer of the Techno Olympiad Goddess 2024 title.

The fourth-year 𝘉𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘛𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘮 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 students' 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐧-𝐭𝐡𝐞-𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 took place at 𝑃𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑎 𝑇𝑒𝑎 𝐺𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑛 𝑆𝑢𝑖𝑡𝑒𝑠 𝑦𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑑𝑎𝑦, 𝐽𝑎𝑛𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑦 18, 2024. A total of 76 senior students attended the event, enthusiastically embracing the theme: "𝙀𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨: 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙤𝙣."During the ceremony, the seniors walked gracefully to the stage to accept their pins.

𝗠𝘀. 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘀𝗯𝗼𝗴, a distinguished alumna of Bohol Island State University holding a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, graced the event as the 𝑔𝓊𝑒𝓈𝓉 𝓈𝓅𝑒𝒶𝓀𝑒𝓇. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗭𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗗. 𝗦𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝒱𝒾𝒸𝑒 𝒫𝓇𝑒𝓈𝒾𝒹𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝑜𝒻 𝒮𝓉𝓊𝒹𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝒜𝒻𝒻𝒶𝒾𝓇𝓈 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒮𝑒𝓇𝓋𝒾𝒸𝑒𝓈, provided the On-The-Job orientation. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗵 𝗣. 𝗠𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗲𝘇𝗮, 𝒟𝑒𝒶𝓃 𝑜𝒻 𝒞𝐵𝑀, and the newly appointed 𝒸𝒽𝒶𝒾𝓇𝓅𝑒𝓇𝓈𝑜𝓃 𝑜𝒻 𝐻𝑜𝓈𝓅𝒾𝓉𝒶𝓁𝒾𝓉𝓎 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒯𝑜𝓊𝓇𝒾𝓈𝓂 𝑀𝒶𝓃𝒶𝑔𝑒𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘇, were also in attendance. A 𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 began as our Seniors embarked on another milestone, indicating the start of their immersion into their academic path. The students heartily expressed their excitement about entering the varied world of tourism, promising to strive for excellence and fulfillment in their future professions as travel and hospitality ambassadors.
