Wondering about Valentine's Day plans in Bangkok? Discover the best offbeat romantic ideas to impress your Valentine, based on my personal recommendations from visiting these places.

1) Mahanokkhan Skyscraper top floor 🌇:
If you enjoy sunsets, I recommend visiting Mahanokkhan Skyscraper from 4-7 PM. The 78th floor, including Skywalk access, costs approximately 1000-1200 baht. You'll have a breathtaking view of the entire Bangkok skyline during the golden hour around 6 PM. Go early to get yourself a couch to sit back and enjoy the view. There's also a rooftop bar available.

P.S: The best sunset view I have seen in recent times 🥰

2) Chao Phraya River Skypark 🌊:
Alternatively, you can explore the Chao Phraya River Skypark to witness the Bangkok skyline along the river during sunset. With the cruises passing by the river you can sit back and relax with the sun setting that's already romantic right? I assume the entry is free. Please verify the entry details for potential fees.

If you're visiting Pattaya 🏝️, and you want to avoid places where people are looking for ladyboys, here's my curated itinerary for your day to unwind and relax.

Visit Koh Larn Island from Pattaya, consider taking the government ferry(costs just 20-30 baht) to Koh Larn Island instead of succumbing to the persuasion of speed boat operators who claim a quicker 20-minute transfer. Although the ferry journey lasts an hour, it offers a unique experience, especially during sunset.

Upon reaching Koh Larn, rent a scooter for just 200 baht, ensuring you carry any valid ID. With approximately 5-6 beaches on the island, I recommend visiting Tien Beach for its white sand and serene European-like atmosphere. If it's a single-day trip, explore various beaches by riding across the island. For an extended stay, you can book resorts.

Return to the mainland in Pattaya by ferry between 5:30-6:00 PM (last ferry) and enjoy the golden hour along with the Pattaya skyline.
