We are getting excited about our up coming trips in Fall 2024. With our first group we will be traveling NW out of Strasbourg on the Marne- Rhine canal over the Vosges Mountains and through the countryside to Gondrexange. At Gondrexange we will turn North on the Canal de la Sarre to the town of Sarreguemines. At Sarreguemines, we will restock, pick up our second group and do the trip in reverse order. Traveling via canal toward Strasbourg it becomes very apparent you are approaching Germany. The influence is unmistakable!
Saverne is a great example of that. A city with so much to offer.

Highlights of our last stop in Saverne were:
-Dinner at Le Funny Burger
-Beautiful artwork and sculpture throughout town
-Staying across from Château des Rohan

The Saint-Louis-Arzviller inclined plane enables boats to cross the Vosges Moutains and with its construction in 1969, replaced seventeen locks within 4 kilometers!

The journey originally taking an entire day is now cut down to a mere 4 minutes!

You really have to see it to believe it.
