Every couple of weeks when I’m really feeling nostalgic I think about this trip to Patagonia. These views were some of the best I’ve ever seen. Really wish we took more time just sitting and taking it allllll in.

Scenes from the car on our road trip along New Zealand’s South Island. Can’t believe all these views were from the car 😍

We were a little worried before we arrived since you drive on the left side in New Zealand but after the first day and constant “keep lefts” it wasn’t bad! Definitely wouldn’t be a reason to not rent a car and take in these views!

One of my favorite hikes on new zealand’s south island: the ho**er valley trail. An easy ~6 mile trail with little elevation gain and only amazing views the entire way. There are also 3 suspension bridges which is always a nice surprise.

What a view. Ben Lomond trail to the summit overlooking queenstown. The trail is 9.3 miles with 4700 ft of elevation gain and views just the whole way. You can take the skyline gondola and cut off about 2 miles and lots of a climb if you’d like a more gentle and scenic start :)
We were surprised by lots of snow when we got toward the top which added to the adventure & the views! Highly recommend!

Doubtful Sound and all of its different weather & colors.
Beautiful always.

We took an overnight cruise throughout doubtful sound & got to experience all the different weather patterns—from sunny to rainy to windy to foggy and all the in betweens. A benefit of staying on the water overnight is getting to experience it all AND experience the sunrise from the boat!

Hiked the Rob Roy glacier trail through strong wind and rain but that couldn’t get us down when the views were this good.

The Rob Roy glacier trail is a relatively easy 6.5 mile out and back with 1700 ft of elevation gain. The trickiest part is making it to the trailhead as you need to cross 9-10 fords and with a 2WD rental car we were pretty nervous. I recommend stopping by the Mt Aspiring visitor center in wanaka before driving to the trail if you’re at all worried!

We both kept dry and warm in our pants and top and rain jacket.

Amazed by these views in the national park, and one of my must visits if you’re in the area!
This hike may be challenging for some as it is about 1.5 miles of stairs—the hike is 4 miles round trip with 1900 ft of elevation gain, but the views are so worth it!

Looking through some of my favorite national park photos and came across these from glacier national park.

We visited mid July two years ago and i still remember vividly how beautiful every single area was. We spent 5 days and hiked 65 miles through the park & wished I had much more time there. In mid July, a few hikes were still closed due to the weather so we couldn’t do everything we wanted, but just means we’ll have to go back!

2-3. Ptarmigan lake and tunnel
4. Highline trail to the grinnell glacier overlook
5. Cracker lake
6. Hidden Lake
7. Lake McDonald and trail of the cedars to avalanche gorge

summer hiking in the eastern sierras with our pup mabel 🏔️

We took her on the little lakes valley to gem lakes trail in the Inyo National forest-it was 7.5 miles with about 1000ft elevation gain. I’d consider this hike relatively easy especially with breaks to enjoy the beautiful views.

We brought our chairs, backpacks, hat & shirts and rec trek pants & had the most perfect day.
