Dylife Lead Mines Oct 2017

Passing through Dylife, it would be rude not to stop have a look around one of the first ever mine we explored.

Not much has changed apart from some weather impact and the north side river workings.

Great to see the The Star Inn back up and running.

Cymwystwyth Lead Mines Oct 2017

Although we have not been as active as we would like to have been this year, myself (Scott Tanner) and Jason Murray made the effort to pay a visit to one of our favourite stopping grounds.

Great to see all the work being put in by Roy to make the main passage safe after resent collapses.

Warning. Resent collapses have made this mine very dangerous, if you do visit take extra care.

While exploring the depths and heights of a mine not to far from us we stumbled across this box, thinking it was just a normal box left behind by the minerS we almost just crawled on by, in till Jase noticed the writing on the front, Explosives, yeah that's right a box of tnt, of course we did not mess with it but how cool is that.

If you ever come across something like this, never attempt to move of touch, one, you could damage a peace of history and two, most importantly you could get hurt!!

Its been a while since we have posted anything from our adventures here at redjacket Me, bust here is a mine we stumbled across while biking the black trails at Nant A***n in Wales, while we did not get to explore under ground we did find a number of portals and above ground goodies. Look out for some more post coming very soon.

Redjackets first outing of 2015 lead us to shopshire were we stumbled across Bog Mine in Shopshire way National park (Stipperstones)

Bog mine is located a couple of miles from churchstock and is intresting to say tbe least. Shafts driven more than 1200 feet. Built by german prisoners of war and the veiws are amazing.

This mine is just one of many in the area, 30 that I know of so a trip back up that way is a must wouldnt you say.
