The Vickers Vimy is being delicately reassembled to go on display in the new expanded terminal, set to open for public viewing later this year.

What an adventure!! We had an absolute ball at the inaugural Mundi Mundi Bash last week. Anyone who’s even remotely interested in camping, live music and adventure needs to get themselves along! An adventure like nothing else we’d been to, memories that will last a lifetime! 🎶🇦🇺

Take the day pass option for unlimited access to our site from 9am to 5pm where you will climb, crawl, swing and slide your way through more than 30 obstacles on Challenge Hill, tackle a giant split-level maze, slide down two epic tube slides (running Saturday, Sunday and the public holiday Monday), conquer the ultimate bouldering challenge, negotiate one of eight orienteering courses or have a round of disc golf (think golf with a frisbee). To make a weekend of it, pitch your tent or pull up you caravan or campervan at one of our unpowered sites with all day activities included from 9am on your day of arrival to 5pm on your day of departure. At Woodhouse there is no rushing to pack up the tent!

🌿 Kayaking, Fishing, Trails, Jetty & a Lookout 🌿

For the first time in 120 years, the gates at Happy Valley Reservoir have been unlocked, with visitors now able to enjoy a range of land and water-based activities.

🛶 Kayaking
🎣 Fishing
🚲 20km of trails for riding and walking
🧺 Picnic shelters
👀 Lookout and jetty

It’s the 9th reservoir to open under our policy which is activating green spaces, creating visitor experiences, boosting economic activity and cementing our reputation as the third most liveable city in the world.

Today I’m REALLY struggling…… struggling to find a reason why you would NOT go hiking!!

I can almost feel the stress melting away. I catch myself smiling like a weirdo for no reason at all. Everything that was stressing me out this morning doesn’t seem so heavy now.

No music, no podcast, just the sound of my footsteps, the birds and the odd car on the Highway nearby. Sometimes my thoughts are still busy and I do get caught up but often I’m distracted by a gorgeous little blue bird or the butterflies the float past or the rustling in the bushes. Today’s excitement was 2 HUGE kangaroo’s fighting, one of the most terrifying yet awesome things I’ve ever seen out hiking!!

Hiking is such a magical way to get some fresh air, some exercise, to switch off, to unwind & to explore!

“I don’t have time”

✨ What a strange time we’re living in ✨

I love how you can take a photo and it can make you feel like you’re anywhere in the world.

With so many uncertainties and us all still trying to work out the new normal, especially with travel, one thing we always have are our memories - I’ll never ever regret the photos I’ve taken, the memories I have for the adventures I’ve taken ✨

Saturday October 30th

Have you thought about travelling on a train…. that doesn't have a destination?

Pack a picnic and spend a few hours on a train listening to the clickety clack of the wheels on the rails while the sun sets. SteamRanger has a train that has to journey from Strathalbyn to our Depot at Goolwa. You won't be able to get off the train as there is no platform but you may be able to see the loco take on water between the trees. There are toilets on the train. Our Coffee shop will be closed, which is why you will need to bring everything with you!

On the way back to Strathalbyn we may even be able to get a glimpse of the sun setting on the horizon while traveling on the rails and over the bridges. The train returns back to Strathalbyn to pick up our passengers that are heading back to Mount Barker.

The Strath BYO Picnic Train departs Strathalbyn at 5.20 pm and tickets will be available on board the train. You will arrive back at Strathalbyn at 8.20pm.

A special price for this one-off event is $25.00 for Adults and $12.00 for Children. There are no Family or Senior fares. Cash and Credit Card available. Tickets are available on board the train!
