It makes me sad we even have to think about doing this post...

😀Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this.
😀Secondly, if you have read this and decided to secure your ticket and help us...thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We have been advocating for and supporting our Murray Darling Basin communities for a few years now.

2022 saw us hold across 4 basin communities with Ambassadors Jason Singh, Huc, Flemo and Tim.
It was awesome to see families come together so, we are wanting to do it again.

Families are still struggling thanks to the plan, and that includes the kids.

We need your help in making
happen😀

A very special troupe has been hand picked for this run where we will bring learning and laughter, parents & kids together for some time out with mates, laughter and learning 😀

The more tixs sold means more funds will be allocated to this program, and more miles to bring the smiles can be done!😀

Check out this photo of Big Lizzie that was captured in January of 1918! On the two trailers are four loads of wheat that had just been transported from Wargan to the Merbein Railway Station.

Big Lizzie, the brainchild of Mr Frank Bottrill, was built in 1915 with the intention of carting wool from outback stations in the Broken Hill area. In 1920, Big Lizzie was commissioned by the Victorian Government to clear land to establish the town of Red Cliffs - the largest soldier settlement in Australia.

Big Lizzie now stands proudly in Barclay Square as a tribute to all Red Cliffs Pioneers. Next time you're nearby, why not pay her a visit and find out more about her story?

Congratulations to our Shires beautiful town of Jamieson who has been announced as one of the five finalists for the 2023 Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards in the Tiny Tourism Town category 🤩🥳

This application was community led with support from Council, the Mansfield Visitor Information Centre and Tourism North East.

Old Greta Township.

Now and Before

The original township known as Greta, located on Fifteen Mile Creek, is now called Greta West.

The Glenrowan-Moyhu Road is of significance; the dog leg to the left before the creek is the site of the old Greta Hotel (O'Brien's Victoria Hotel) the well is still visible.

Roebuck Plains- one of the two roads in and out of Broome. The other is Fitzroy crossing which has been severely affected by flooding and the bridge has collapsed. Thinking of all the people being evacuated from their homes and affected by the damage these floods have caused in Fitzroy and surrounding communities. 🤍
