Hey, hi, hello again, friends!👋
We received a lot of feedback from followers after the last winter storm and wanted to check in with you all once more before ❄️ hits the fan. If you haven’t already heard: POWDER INCOMING 🚨
Not only are we projected to get

overnight (and into tomorrow), but we are also forecasted to have much colder temperatures. With providing fun, memorable, and safe experiences at the top of our priorities, we’ve gathered helpful tips if you are planning to visit this weekend.
Ski & Ride
• Layer, layer, layer. Prepare to dress accordingly with a base, mid, and outer layer
• Keep toes and fingers warm
• Cover head, ears, and face
• Keep moving while in lift lines (swing arms, sway, etc.)
• Stay hydrated
Travel
• Avoid snow/ice covered steep/sloped roadways with 2WD vehicles when possible
• Chains or traction devices are always recommended to have on hand
• Use Fie Top Rd via Soco Rd/HWY 19 to access ski area ONLY
Ski Area FYI’s:
• Goggles, gloves/mittens, gaiters, beanies, disposable warmers, mid-layers, helmets, socks, etc. are available for purchase in the Cataloochee Ski Area gift shop located on the second level of the main lodge
• Insulated jackets and snow bibs are available for rent in advance as well as on-site and range from 2T - 5XL
• We do not provide a shuttle service from the valley to the top of the mountain
Hop over to the link in our bio (Planning) for a detailed checklist on dressing accordingly. We also recommend checking the Snow Report each morning for updates on mountain and road conditions.
Stay safe, stay warm, and as always, we can’t wait to see YOU for another epic adventure SOON! 🏂⛷️
