Together with BlueSky Experiences we have designed the event to not only to test your fitness level but your mind as well. 🎉 The excitement has been bubbling for weeks, and the day is finally here! 🏆 The Buccleuch Property sweepstake has been drawn, and that can only mean one thing – it’s the start of UEFA Euro 2024⚽️

We're all looking forward to cheering on our respective teams over the next few weeks while fitting in our training for this year’s Buccleuch Property Challenge around the big games. Last year’s event included some football-related activities, so we reckon football watching could also be considered part of our training routines! 🏋️‍♂️📺

Happy World Bicycle Day! A top tip from some of our regulars is to make sure you incorporate some form of bike training in your schedule for the Buccleuch Property Challenge, especially if you are not a regular cyclist. The bike trails at Drumlanrig are world-class and this will only increase your enjoyment! If you need to hire mountain bikes for the day itself - book them asap!

In four days’ time the annual 'Walk of Hope' organised by Chris's House (our 2024 Buccleuch Property Challenge charity partner) takes place in Glasgow. At 04:00 on Saturday 11th May, walkers many of whom are family members and friends who have lost loved ones to su***de will gather in the darkness at the Glasgow Science Centre before setting off on a 5km walk along the embankment of The Clyde returning as dawn breaks.

As well as raising crucial funds for Chris’s House, the annual event also raises awareness of su***de prevention. The charity has its Centre for Help, Response and Intervention Surrounding Su***de (CHRIS’S) in Belhaven Road in Wishaw. It is the first 24 hour, non-medical crisis centre in Scotland offering integrated support. This will be the third year members of our Buccleuch Property team will be taking part in this moving event.

We are delighted to announce that our charity partner for this year’s Buccleuch Property Challenge is Chris’s House.

Chris’s House was founded by Anne Rowan, a Wishaw mum with a passionate vision for a crisis centre established in memory of her son Chris, whom she lost to su***de in 2011. In the years following Chris’s death, Anne experienced an overwhelming sense of guilt. She turned her attention to taking action – through the creation of Chris’s House, a ‘Centre for Help, Response and Intervention Surrounding Su***de’. It is the first 24 hour, non-medical crisis centre in Scotland offering integrated support. Chris's House has been set up to offer a safe environment where people in, or approaching, suicidal crisis can have a safe place to go and get professional support. This will help them to begin to recover from their current mental ill health. Chris’s House call anyone using their service a “Guest” and offer an individually tailored programme for each Guest. She is joined in this mission with more than 60+ volunteers. Each have been touched in some way by su***de and understand the on-going ripple effects that it has on family, friends and the community. Last Friday, James and Stuart from Bluesky Experiences Ltd embarked on an exciting reconnaissance mission to Drumlanrig Castle & Country Estate, mapping out this year's course route and activities for the Buccleuch Property Challenge 2024. Their enthusiasm is clear - they've discovered a hidden gem within the Estate, promising fresh adventures for all participants!

🌟On Friday 8th September we witnessed an incredible day at Drumlanrig Castle & Country Estate as over 250 participants came together for the 15th annual Buccleuch Property Challenge, conquering a range of fitness activities across land and water. 🚣‍♀️ From paddle boarding to running, this event showcased the incredible determination and teamwork of our participants. We're thrilled to announce that we have raised more than £16,600 for our charity partner Horse Time.
