Our visit of Santo Domingo Xenacoj is not only about learning the process of weaving, is about sharing with the weavers their history and how difficult it is to make people understand the value and appreciation of the art of weaving in Guatemala. The role of the Council of weavers is very important, to preserve and keep alive the identity of Guatemala Communities woven in their textiles and that this ancient art keeps moving forward to the new generations in Guatemala.
