A few of my favorite things about Sandals Barbados and Royal Barbados…

*Loved the staff, the fellow guests and the atmosphere of the resort! This resort had a very welcoming and fun vibe to it. It was easy to strike up conversations with others. We met two couples who we still keep in contact with through social media. People gathered around outdoor TVs to watch soccer (football) games (and peacefully I might add…😉). There was always music playing somewhere during the day, volleyball in the pool below our room, dancing with the entertainment at night, etc. We chatted with many British couples as Barbados is often a vacation spot for them. Little known fact…my fiancé is from England so I speak their “language”. Rest assured the noise level dies down considerably at night!

*Stay at 1 play at 2. You can eat, shop, relax, drink and do whatever you’d like at both Sandals resorts in Barbados.
You are not limited to just the resort you are staying in. They are literally next door to each other so just a mere walk to where you’d like to go. It’s almost as if they are one resort.

*Unlimited dining at 21 restaurants with Bombay Club and Chi Asian Fusion being two of my absolute favorites there! You will never hear me complain about the food. It’s amazing! Life long lover of food. I used to cry in between bites my mom said because she couldn’t feed me fast enough.
Moving on.

*The all you can eat breakfast buffet at Spices is fabulous and fills you for the day’s activities. It is our favorite! It is set right by the pool with the beach in the background. I absolutely love it and there is something for everyone! My non-breakfast eating fiancé HAS to have this breakfast every morning on vacation. There are also coffee machines throughout the resort for all day caffeine fixes and Sweet n’ Salty’s Gourmet Donuts and Coffee is open from 7am - 5pm.

*Photographers throughout the resort so you can leave your phone or camera safely in your room. They capture the moments and memories for you (allows both of you to be in the photos sans selfies). You can purchase any downloads you choose at the end of your stay! Since I work from home now I like to have moments where I’m dressed up captured on film!

*The views and scenery of Barbados are just breathtaking and what postcards are made of. Take a look at our photos below and see for yourself. You must take in the views from the roof-top pool and bar. We ventured up there at night too. Beautiful.

*Our room upon arrival had flower petals in the shape of a heart on the bed and a special birthday card and gift for my fiancé which consisted of a bottle of wine and a plate of fresh fruit. It was a nice touch and very welcoming.

*The stocked bar and refrigerator in our room was great! We never touched the bar but when the staff found out I love champagne they made sure I had a bottle in the refrigerator at all times! There were a variety of sodas, juices, beer and bottled water too!

*The cleanliness of this (and every) Sandals resort. As a nurse by trade of nearly 29 years, it is an important aspect. They strive to keep you healthy and safe. The immaculate grounds and landscaping is gorgeous with quiet places to sit and take it in. I’m a Florida native so I loved the occasional short bursts of rain we had and the sounds of waves and such at night. Felt a bit like home.

*The beach bar was my favorite place to grab a fun, fruity, tropical drink. I made friends with a head bartender upon arrival and she took care of me throughout our stay. She had the most incredible view from her “office”. Is it even vacation if you don’t have a drink on the beach with a little umbrella or fruit garnish?!

Happy Valentine’s Day❣️

Let’s kick off 2024 with a personal touch and a few of my favorite things about Sandals Grande St. Lucian…

*Unlimited dining at 12 restaurants with the Jerk Shack and Bombay Club being two of my absolute favorites! Notice how I started with the food…does not disappoint!!!

*The all you can eat breakfast buffet at Bayside Restaurant is fabulous and fills you for the day’s activities. It is this early risers fave!

*The private candlelight dinner on the beach was amazing. We had just gotten engaged and this was our way of celebrating. I loved how my new ring glimmered in the candlelight. Swoon.
I digress.

*Photographers throughout the resort so you can leave your phone or camera safely in your room. They capture the moments and memories for you (allows both of you to be in the photos sans selfies). You can purchase any downloads you choose at the end of your stay! You’ll have a laugh combing through the photos.

*The views and scenery of St. Lucia are just breathtaking and what postcards are made of. Not a bad picture to be had anywhere in that resort. There is a very calm atmosphere to the Grande St. Lucian too. I’d say it is great for a romantic honeymoon or private getaway.

*The additional excursions to take in the island and culture are also a must. We chose the sunset catamaran and it was gorgeous. It was a way of seeing parts of the island at night from the water. We enjoy talking to the locals.

*The cleanliness of this (and every) Sandals resort. As a nurse by trade of nearly 29 years, it is an important aspect. They strive to keep you healthy and safe.

*Loved the gift shop! An ornament must be purchased from wherever we travel. They are stocked with toiletries and snacks if needed. They are stocked with things you probably don’t necessarily “need” too. Sandals also allows locals to sell their wares on certain days near the pool area which is really nice. I love supporting local artists and craftsmen/woman!

*Dirty Bananas and the beach bars. Think chocolate covered banana with a kick. Nothing says vacation like fruity tropical drinks on the beach or in the pool. Throw an umbrella in and I’m done. It’s a little slice of heaven.

*Stay at 1 play at 3. You can eat, shop, relax, drink and do whatever you’d like (within reason) at all Sandals resorts in St. Lucia! You are not limited to just the resort you are staying in! Transportation is provided between the resorts as well.
