Autumn offers so much in the way of species for those who want to bird in Italy.
Because of migration, birds can be observed in Apennine forests, rivers, wetlands and along the coasts of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
With this Canadian guest we followed an itinerary through all these environments observing dozens of species.
Among the most interesting we can list Eleonora's falcon, Common crane, Hoopoe, Pygmy cormorant, Spotted redshank, Caspian tern, Slender-billed gull, Green and Great spotted woodpecker.

A beautiful day spent at lake Trasimeno with Jen and Paul from New York!

They were able to tick off many lifers such as the Eurasian hoopoe, ferruginous duck, hobby, green woodpecker and many more!

In Lake Trasimeno, at the end of summer, the vacationers leave and the waterfowl return.
It is migration time, and the lake fills with ducks, herons, waders and cormorants.
Great day of birdwatching with two nice guests from New York.
