🌟 Camino Mozarabe 🌟

Our bespoke 3 day walking holiday 🥾

We have just finished a tailor-made adventure for a group of friends celebrating a big birthday. We organised 3 days of hiking from Antequera to Malaga, following the old pilgrimage route of the Camino Mozarabe de Santiago.

Each night, the group stayed in a carefully chosen boutique hotel or authentic cortijo, enjoying exceptional local cuisine & wines. La Posada del Torcal

A highlight on the first day was stopping at the award-winning Bodega Gross Hermanos for a private tour & tasting with winemaker Javier Bodega Gross Hermanos
And then exploring some of the secret routes of jurassic El Torcal mountain range...

Anyone for golf? ⛳️

Antequera Golf Club is dramatically located 650 meters above sea level, between the Torcal mountains and the Vega de Antequera plain. It is just 30 minutes from Malaga, 45 minutes from Granada and 1 hour from Seville and Cordoba.

Antequera Golf offers an 18-hole, par 72 course, spread over 50 hectares.

We had such an adventurous group this week on our historical Machuca Hike 🥾 The guests from Scotland were on a yoga retreat and braved the midday heat to hike up through the oak forests & vineyards of this private estate to the ancient Camino Mozarabe (one of the routes leading to the famous Camino de Santiago) 🥾 The tour ended with tapas & drinks at our HQ before transporting the group back for a well-earned siesta

⭐️ Tailor-made day tours in Antequera ⭐️

We specialise in creating bespoke day adventures for small groups in the beautiful region of Antequera.

This lovely couple from England had one day & one night to experience the very best of Antequera with some hiking, historical & cultural tours, ancient sites and local food & wines..

We planned a full itinerary, collecting them from the hotel Parador de Antequera and driving them straight to El Torcal Natural Park for a short hike before heading to Torre del Hacho for the best views over Antequera’s fortress and old town.

Next we headed to the UNESCO neolithic Dolmens of Antequera where we marvelled at the three ancient megalithic tombs dating back nearly 6000 years.

Lunch at the Parador included local dishes such as p***a de Antequera, artichokes with truffle & oranges and oxtail croquetas.

In the evening, we drove our guests out into the Sierra de Chimenea mountain range for a sunset vineyard tour followed by wine tasting of their award-wining vinos, paired with local tapas. Our guests were reluctant to leave such a beautiful place but we had booked them a table at restaurant in the Plaza Coso Viejo where they enjoyed more local delicacies while listening to a live jazz performance from across the square at the 18th century Palacio de Najera

The daily itinerary will start with functional fitness training followed by guided hikes through historical landscapes with spectacular views. In the evening, gentle yoga classes will help to calm the mind and body. The exercise schedule is complimented with organic vegetarian cuisine - a perfect starting point for higher energy and improved mental health.

A beautiful spring day for our half day tour of Antequera with retreat guests from ☀️ The tour starts at the Alcazaba fortress with its 360 degree views of the town and surrounding mountains, followed by a visit to the Renaissance Colegiata de Santa Maria Mayor with its beautiful Mudejar ceiling. The tour continues with a stroll down the cobbled streets, lined with orange trees, to the town’s fascinating museum, housed in the Palacio de Najera
