Ouray, Colorado is well known as a base for Jeeping the countless miles of dirt roads that wind their way through the mountain passes to long forgotten mining towns. Once a thriving gold mining area, these old mines are nothing but ghost towns and crumbling tunnels. One of the most scenic of these old mining roads (and the closest to town) in Yankee Boy Basin.
